I've been coming here for years. Today the blonde lady and the long hair guy screamed at me in front of all the costumers. First I kindly asked her to change a taco because they added cheese and salad and I aked it to be plain. She screamed very rude if I've read the menu. I don't know if because I am hispanic maybe she thought I didn't know how to read English so I found it a little racist at that time I just said thanks when she gave me the new taco and sat. The place was crowded and I thought she was having a hard day. When we sat I realized that there was a missing quesadilla in my order. When I went back I noticed she threw some food at the trash in front of me. I kindly asked her and this were my words "sweetie can you please check on the quesadillas because I receive the rest of the order but not that" Automatically she started screaming at me that those quesadillas were there for 20 minutes and that she just threw them. That's when I got upset because I was never disrespectful and told her that I paid for my food and I wanted it. The guy that was cooking with her started screaming too and telling that I could get a refund if I want to. I felt really bad there were like 50 people inside that place, we waited for 30 minutes to get a table and never complained. You don't have the right to scream at people like that. And sadly but after years going there, this will be our last visit. What a way to end 2018.

Ok so let me begin by sayin, this is without a shadow of a doubt the best burrito I've ever had! Hands down the best ones i have ever had!! The music and atmosphere in the place brought me back to a time (90s) where things were better. The look of the place did the same too. As did the staff! If asked "would I reccomend?" I would unequivocally say 1000% yes! *funny story* later in the evening, (I ate here at 1pm) my girl and I were already back home in orlando, and were hungry. I mentioned tango bravo aka taco bell, and she scolded me harshly, and she was right to. How dare I disrespect this amazing food from Burrito Works, with some lesser food in the same day. We opted to make food from scratch. For all my fellow stat nerds, the burrito I ate, gave me +100 nostalgia +100 health and mana +100 speech. I strongly strongly strongly advise eating here. Totally worth it. Heck, the ol lady an i are contemplating driving the two hours from O-town just for this place alone! I wonder if they sell shirts, mugs or fridge magnets? id totally buy them!

Having immersed ourselves in the museums of St. Augustine, my wife and I found our appetites calling, and with prior knowledge of Burrito Works Taco Shop, we opted to make it our destination for a quick and satisfying meal. Stepping into Burrito Works, we were immediately taken by the lively atmosphere. The sight of people relishing their tacos and burritos hinted at a promising dining experience. Upon perusing the menu, our choice landed on the Chicken Tacos. The service was both prompt and exceptional, swiftly delivering our order to our table. The Chicken Tacos surpassed our expectations, delivering a delightful combination of flavors. The expertly cooked chicken infused with a harmonious blend of spices, made each bite a savory delight. Without hesitation, I recommend Burrito Works Taco Shop is a must-visit for a flavorsome and enjoyable culinary experience.

Extremely Disappointed by the Rude and Disrespectful Behavior

As a family of four living nearby, we have been loyal patrons of this place for over a decade. My husband and two children (ages 8 and 9) have especially enjoyed coming here over the years, frequently ordering and loving your signature UFOs.

However, our recent visit was shockingly disappointing and deeply upsetting.

Around 10 p.m., after a day trip to St. Augustine, we decided to stop by and try something new from the menu—specifically the tacos, which clearly stated they come with salsa. We ordered them for our kids, trusting the menu description. When the order arrived, the tacos were completely dry, containing only onions and coriander—absolutely no salsa. The kids couldn’t eat them, and we politely brought this to the staff’s attention.

Instead of addressing the concern professionally, the manager asked the chef who came out of the kitchen and asked my husband to leave the premises. This response was not only rude but completely disproportionate to our simple and valid request.

At 11 p.m., feeling humiliated and disrespected, our family quietly picked up the food and left. On the way home, my children threw away all their food—four orders of UFOs and tacos—saying they didn’t want to eat anything from a place where people were so unkind.

It’s incredibly unfortunate that a place with such a good product can show such a lack of basic courtesy and respect toward long-time customers. While your business may be thriving today, I sincerely hope you take this message as a wake-up call. Consistent success isn’t built on food alone—it’s built on the experience you offer, especially to those who have supported you for years.

Wishing you all the best, but please know this: kindness, respect, and humility will carry your business farther than attitude and...

The quality of food is below average, just alot of hype and they are open late. I just had a steak burrito, the luxury lol, and with every bite I had to pick out pieces of gristle, there was more stuff I couldn't chew through than there was meat! What kind of quality is that? The last time I was there I got shrimp tacos, and each taco had 3 pieces of shrimp and speks of cilantro. No lettuce, no salsa, nothing else! I actually returned to the store the next day and asked for explanation, and the guy who said he was a manager argued with me, tried to convince me that that's how they are made! Absolute garbage! He refused to give me my money back even though i brought the tacos back with the receipt, so I demanded they make me a shrimp burrito instead, he kept refusing lol, didn't think they had to rectify their mistake, but eventually he conceded. This so- called manager, whoever he was, actually argued and got defensive...... what kind of manager is that? This place.... I don't really care to come there unless I got nothing else, but after today, I'm done with them, and I won't miss...
