PAWSitively Unique Thrift Boutique Store — Local services in Saint George

The only reason I'm not giving this "thrift" store zero stars is because A. Love that it supports animals & B. I have found some really neat treasures here. However, I've noticed over the past few months that the prices have gone up insanely! I know inflation hurts us all, but the point of thrift stores is to get rid of inventory at bargain prices, not keeping up with retail store pricing. I went in the other day and left after 10 minutes with nothing, not even a single small trinket. There were several items I would have loved to take home with me, but I couldn't justify the prices they listed, which is often more than brand new prices at places like Ross, Walmart, even Dollar Tree. I am not paying $20 for a small, basic picture frame, new or not, at a thrift store. I'm also not paying hundreds of dollars for mediocre "art." I want to like this thrift store again, but unless they seriously consider lowering their prices by a lot, making it a true thrift store, I dont know if I'll go back. Let me start by saying this thrift store is wonderful, the folks there are usually smiles and are in great moods! I also enjoy the reason they do what they do there. On the other hand, the pricing of second hand merchandise here is off the charts. Over the last 6 months of frequently stopping in, I have noticed a gross mark up in their wares. I get it, it's the day and age, things are more expensive, blah blah blah. What I don't get is a $40 stuffed animal. I collect what was offered in store, and was excited to have a chance at getting it at a thrift store price. I couldn't have been more wrong. I said to myself, I wouldn't shop here again because of the almost department store prices, but I figured I would give it another go round because of the cause. Pretty said if you ask me. Love them!!!! They are not huge, but for a quick, fun thrift store experience, they are great. I also love that they help pets, as I got my beautiful, amazing dog from P.A.W.S. rescue.

I have purchased women's shoes, nicer dresses, craft stuff, antique coffee cups and saucers, and some linens here. They also have jewelry, a little bit of furniture, and some seasonal items. They also have some interesting vintage finds.

Maybe not the place to go if you need a large selection of something specific, but the kind of place where you go and browse and generally find something you didn't know you were going to love.
