Clearance Shopper here. I go to Target in St George regularly for a merchandising job. I like to look at the clearance while I'm there, and often I'm able to get affordable clothing for my son, which is great.
However today I had a very negative experience shopping at Target. I found some shirts on the clearance rack that had been there for a while and didn't have any tags on them. While trying to find prices for these items, I spoke to three different Associates in the clothing department. They were very nice, and ultimately told me that the prices should be the about same as the other clearance items that I had, and that an associate at the front would be able to help me. However when I went to check out, my cashier was "Lori". She was extremely rude. She did not listen to anything I had to say. She was very combative and ultimately rung the items up at full price and did not ask me if I wanted them or not, just stuck them in the bag. She let me know that she was Guest Services lead, which I find very surprising since she was incredibly condescending and rude in our interaction. At the end of this whole situation, I ended up having to go speak to a supervisor, because "Lori" would not listen to anything I had to say. I did speak to Kristy about it, she was polite, and said she would look into it. I do not know if I will want to go shopping here again. I like to be able to buy clearance clothing for my son, as this is how I afford to put clothing on my disabled child on a fixed income. With two disabled people in my home I'm doing the best I can. I did not appreciate this experience at all. I would like to give more stars for the polite associates I saw here, but I just can't, "Lori" was a very upsetting person...
Read morest. george needs another target. we have a population of 109,000. if tiny towns in new hampshire that barley have 10k people have a target st. george could get a 2nd or even 3rd location. provo just got their 2nd location, and st. george has about 5,000 fewer people than provo. i know provo has a huge metro area, but orem lehi, american fork, and spanish fork all have a target store of their own. meanwhile, st. george supports washington (35,624), hurricane (25,209), santa clara (8,791), ivins (10,525), and all the other small towns in washington county not to mention cedar city (which could have a store of its own with a metro of 52,230) and mesquite.
the store is constantly full of people and is always a mess on almost every one of the isles. so many people who visit the area also stop here to shop. the parking lot is always extremely full, and it's hard to find a spot. it's hard to find certain things because of the number of people who clear the shelves of everything. half the shelves are empty or low on stock. nothing is where it belongs. the bathrooms feel like a 3rd world country. and the list goes on. target just give us another store already.
(someone needs to develop another strip mall down here as sad as it's sounds because you can't just keep developing neighborhood after neighborhood after neighborhood and expect us all to shop, dine, and entertain ourselves at all the ice cream shops, soda shops, and car washes because that's the only retail that gets built. we have a huge population base but are missing so many stores...
Read moreIve been coming in every morning, right as they open, to try and get an Xbox series x. There is someone else I know doing it to. One of the employees took pitty on us and told us that there was a shipment coming in on a certain date (just a few days out). We kept showing up everyday right as they opened the doors, however the answer was always the same, “we don’t have any”. Each time I go in we have them scan just to be sure. One time I asked someone to scan, after being told there wasn’t any, and their response is they had just scanned for the person right in front of me (the other person coming daily). The next day we showed up, and they said, “you should have come yesterday, we had ten come in”. We had been there every single morning right when they open…. I’m pretty sure target employees are flipping them so they are unpurchasable. there’s 5 or so fake Facebook accounts that went up in the last 12 hours of people now selling brand new Xbox series x’s in my town of 180k. When I went this morning, the response was the same, oh you should have come 2 days ago, this other person and me were both talking to them this time. We replied that we had, and they said “oh, maybe it was the day before”. We responded that we had both been here and the employee shrugged and said idk then. I help unload the trucks and we had unloaded 10 that day. There are some employees who must be scalping and are lying to customers…. Really disappointed in target. Gave them 2 stars because of the 2...
