We were lucky enough to message the tattoo shop the night prior to our appointment for a sort of 'walk-in', but we were able to send him a sample tattoo of what me and my wife were looking for the night before. When you show up, the shop is locked so you need to call in to the store, which I did. A gentleman answered and said he'd be down in 5 minutes. Somebody came about 10 minutes later, we were sitting on a bench outside and we heard a "click" at the door showing its unlocked. Not to be nitpicky, but you made us wait and didn't atleast open the door for your customer? To boot, we do walk in, and there's a guy walking around and takes a seat and immediately puts his feet up on the seats meant for the customers, and directly behind him is someones entirely scanned ID and government info on a desk right by the seats in view if anyone who walks in. At this point, this guy still has not said his name, greeted us or introduced himself, he also didn't mention who our appointment was even with when we were texting the store the night prior, so there's a mystery man here with a tablet and shows us "so this is what I came up with", and it's only resembling the tattoo we were looking for in the idea that it had words and a shape on it, past that it looked nothing at all like our even initial concept. He didn't ask us any questions about what we were looking for, what we wanted to keep as a concept for him to try and draw or interpret on his own, we ended up having to say "We're specifically looking to get this tattoo because of this version", he gives us a grunt and goes "Uhh let me see what I can do." Still no idea who this guy is, he hasn't said more than 2 words since we've walked into the store, and 30 minutes into a dead silent appointment since walking in, he shows a 2nd version of the drawing, where he's getting alot closer but he is not even remotely putting what we're asking for into the tattoo, which is simply to have a small portion of a body show inside of a tarot card, where his version is just an arm coming out of hair since there was no body. After the 2nd concept and we asked again to see if it were possible to incorporate the body, he ends it and goes "Yeah I'm gonna have to pass". The most unprofessional, awkward, and unwelcoming business I've been inside of in my life, like I don't write reviews but this was such an unprofessional atmosphere for a tattoo shop. You're better off spending money with an artist who is interested in working with you than...
Read moreWe were turned away by another shop (which we had an appointment for) and suggested St. Ignace Tattoo instead. They were professional and were able to get both of us in same day. The artists technique and knowledge is commendable. Sean is my first recommendation on artist for anyone. First time or otherwise. I'm looking forward to the next...
