A bad night at Good Nights. I was overcharged and way underserved. I had been looking forward to coming to the establishment for years, following the instagram of what I presume is the flagship in Cleveland. Once I moved to the Tampa bay area I was enthralled to discover there was a location in St. Petersburg and had scheduled a section exactly one week in advance to celebrate the visitation of an old friend. Saving up meticulously after my correspondence with… a random number via text I was told to get in contact with. I have received bottle service in the past and I was only quoted for the price for the two bottle minimum: A $240 Titos and a $295 casamigos blanco. $535, the math being simple enough. Now usually I bring an extra $150 or so to tip the staff and make sure things keep running smoothly. Upon arriving, the host couldn't find my name, but that was remedied quickly enough. Okay, small speed bump. Now, when I received my bill, imagine my shock when it was well over $700. NOTHING about my experience here warranted that. Firstly, our “section” was a couch upstairs with no roping off and a table that must have had “please steal from us” written on the bottom. We could not enjoy our time there because the majority of it was spent keeping people away from us and worse, scolding them when they kept climbing up on my ($700!) couch and stealing my bottles right out of our bucket in front of us. No security, and half the people in the upstairs area did not have a wristband, only horrible manners. I have paid less for far better service and hypervigilance, the staff was indifferent. Whoever our bottle service girl was charged us for four waters when all I had asked for was a straw. She left the waters on the table and the check. She never came back so I could tell her we did not want the waters. The DJ had a low grasp of what constitutes “disco” but honestly that was the least of my concerns. Upon leaving, I was outside waiting for my uber (it was not yet closing time but I could no longer devote myself to the work of keeping people away from my paid for items) and I had to use the bathroom. Despite my exorbitant tab and “VIP” status, I wasn’t even allowed reentry with my wristband to quickly use the bathroom one last time. In fact, I was met with hostility. One security guard had offered to escort me to the bathroom, but another would not let him do it, which just made the 30 minute ride back to Tampa miserable. I came here expecting to live my seventies dreams and just ended up feeling disrespected and...
Read moreThis review is directed toward a policy of the club and not a negative experience within the club. I was with a party of 8 people after having dinner downtown. We were all waiting on line as we all expected. I looked ahead and noticed club staff using a wand at the door. I stepped out of the line and discretely got the attention of one of the staff and identified myself as a police officer employed here in Pinellas County, and then further advised him I was armed. The staff member told me I would be denied entry with my firearm and I was instructed to lock it up in my vehicle. What logical reason would there be to not want a armed police officer within the establishment? Management may respond with we have hired security and hired a couple of St. Pete Officers to stand outside. In light of the present world climate and even the mass shootings we see here in this country I just don't see how it makes sense to deny a sworn armed officer entrance. I would venture to say that most patrons and staff in the club would welcome the idea of armed officers in the club. Management may debate that no firearms in the club is the safest. I can think of a number of scenarios where a dedicated assailant could create havoc in such a venue, but I wouldn't use this platform to discuss it and give a crack pot any ideas. Having an undisclosed number of armed officers within the club could possibly thwart a problem instantly or simply having trained eyes inside to spot a problem before it happens that can be reported to staff. Locking my firearm in my vehicle and leave it vulnerable to a burglar who could use the firearm in another crime does not make sense. Perhaps the club has been lucky and thank God for that. In today's environment should we really be leaving our safety up to good luck? I respectfully submit to the management that they change the policy, not for me but for the safety of their patrons...
Read moreI am absolutely furious about the treatment I received at your establishment on 12/21/24. I had friends visiting from outside the U.S., and I wanted to show them this place I’ve been coming to for two years. What should have been a great night turned into a complete nightmare thanks to your unprofessional and biased bouncers.
A girl threw her drink in my face, causing my eyes to burn. When I asked her why she did it, she admitted that someone had spilled a drink on her, and she mistakenly thought it was me. Instead of addressing the actual problem, your bouncers immediately targeted me. They didn’t bother to analyze the situation or listen to my side of the story. Instead, they dragged me out of the club, along with all five of my friends, without any explanation or justification.
What makes this even more infuriating is that the girl who caused the scene was drunk, while this was the first bar I visited that night, and I was only having my first drink. The fact that your bouncers couldn’t differentiate between an innocent customer and someone causing trouble is beyond frustrating.
I have been a loyal customer for two years, and this is how I was treated when I brought friends to your club for the first time. Your bouncers acted as though they were trained to side with women in any altercation, regardless of the facts. It seems their priority is maintaining a certain “female-friendly” atmosphere to attract more customers, even if it means treating male customers unfairly.
The lack of professionalism and outright bias displayed by your staff has made it clear that my loyalty means nothing to your establishment. I will never return, and I will make sure none of my friends ever visit your club either. You’ve lost a regular customer, and I strongly suggest you educate your bouncers on how to handle situations fairly and professionally. Until then, I cannot recommend this...
