I am passing through here in Missouri visiting two of my children. I brought him some pieces of gold that he no longer wanted and I brought him a watch so that he could change the battery and other pieces to fix. She told me how much she gave me for the gold pieces and she asked me if I wanted the gold money as credit for putting the battery in the watch and fixing the other pieces of jewelry that I gave her to fix I said yes. and when I went to look for the arrangement pieces; Laura charges me an amount of money that I did not understand why. but I paid her, I realized that I paid her for her arrangements; and she did not credit me with the money for the gold pieces I sold her. I complained to her but she played the fool that she did not remember. My mistake was trusting her and not asking for the credit receipt for the gold I sold her. I brought a very expensive platinum engagment ring to this store to have it sized. I asked specifically if the ladies work with platinum and was assured that they would have no issues sizing my ring. When I picked my ring up 5 days later I can not tell you the disappointment I felt. I had only had the ring a few weeks and already it was ruined. The overall shape of the ring was now lopsided, one part of the banner was thinner than the other, and there was a distinct line where they had cut the band. I asked them to fix the band and left the ring there again. Shortly after I changed my mind and called to ask them not to touch the ring and that I would come and pick it up immediately. Once I got there I realized the ring was missing a diamond from the settting! And they couldnt understand why I was so upset. Awful awful service and poor work. I was beyond disappointed. Miss Laura is an amazing person. For those who have something negative to say, I think we tend to forget that at the end of the day we are all people and we don't come perfectly packed with a bow. In this, I would like to say... Everytime I have been in Miss Laura's stores, her old one and the one she has now, I have been treated with nothing but respect. Miss Laura has been through heck and back, and still manages to run her buisness with integrity, and with her head up. She doesn't deserve the negative reviews, because she IS NOT like how she has been portrayed... I have a tennis bracelet (with diamonds all the way around the bracelet) that had lose clasps. One slight catch on a shirt, and it would pop off. Miss Laura fixed it, and now to me, it's like brand new. She was fair on her pricing. I have sold a ring I just didn't want anymore and she was fair on the price. I've had necklaces fixed (that my bird broke). Thanks...
