A True Hidden Gem!

Glassico Sushi and Ramen is an absolute standout when it comes to authentic Japanese dining. From start to finish, everything ordered was a perfect balance of flavor, presentation, and freshness.

Starting with the takoyaki, golden and crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and topped with a generous drizzle of sauce, mayo, and bonito flakes that danced in the steam - exactly how takoyaki should be!

Next came the sushi selection, and it was a showstopper. The salmon was melt-in-your-mouth fresh with a subtle sweetness, the seared tuna had just the right smoky char, and the yellowtail was delicate and buttery. The unagi (eel) was glazed perfectly, rich and savory with just the right amount of sauce. Each piece was plated beautifully and tasted even better than it looked.

The highlight, though, was the ramen. The broth was luxuriously creamy and packed with umami, clearly simmered to perfection. The tender slices of chashu pork were seared to add depth of flavor, while the marinated soft-boiled egg had that perfect golden yolk. Topped with fresh green onions, wood ear mushrooms, and narutomaki, it was the kind of bowl you want to savor slowly—but can’t help finishing fast.

On top of all this, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Watching the chef at work behind the counter added to the experience, making it feel like a true culinary performance.

Whether you’re craving fresh sushi, comforting ramen, or classic Japanese street food, Glassico Sushi and Ramen delivers on every level. This place deserves all the praise - it’s a spot I’ll be coming back to...

Just a tad on the pricey side, but that's par for the course for a decent sushi restaurant.

The owners and staff are friendly and generally attentive, and the food tasty.

Glassico definitely has a few unique sushi options (including ones I've not run into during my city life) as well as many of the sushi staples you'd expect of any decent sushi joint.

They also serve ramen made in-house. Fans of Japanese and Korean cuisine will probably find something they like.

Somewhat small dinning area.

For such a rural area, it's an impressive establishment and probably one of the top two sushi places in the FLW area.

If you like sushi, give it a shot.

Feb. 2022 Update - Still a recommended restaurant, but being unable to place to go orders by phone or web for the last two years has been a major disappointment, especially if you're a homebody like me, resulting in a loss of a star. It used to be a simple matter of calling and placing a to go order. For nearly two years now, the phone number listed on the website rings indefinitely or is busy. No obvious online ordering exists, apart from possibly door dash. Great restaurant, but if you don't want to be around people, you're stuck driving in and waiting for your order around other people. Further, I've been turned away twice in one week when showing up in the 7:00-7:30PM time frame, after unsuccessfully attempting to order take out in the 6:30-7:00 timeframe. Pretty frustrating, since I...

I go to this place on a regular basis. The food is absolutely delicious. I tell all my customers to go to Glassico and not a single one of them told me they disliked it. If anything they love it. Their business is growing more and they deserve more support.

A) The owners and waiters are very friendly and well trained. They will give you any information necessary if you talk to their any of the waiters. A good waiter is one that also learns the food and everything involving it.

B) Their extremely consistent one of the most important things about what makes a business amazing if not the most important is consistency. They have this nailed down with perfection. I'd like to add I'm very picky with my food and worked in a couple of well known restaurants in New York in the past.

C) Everyday on their work days, they restock on fresh food from 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM to make sure you're eating fresh no matter the day or time you come in. Which is amazing because in St.Robert their is not very many resturant that serve fresh. It's also not a marketing scheme I can guarantee you it's fresh.

Go to this restaurant tell everybody support it and love it.

Gigi and David...

Everything from the appetizers to the sushi to the dessert was top-notch in taste and quality! The takoyaki was creamy and savory, the crispy Tuna was crunchy and perfectly flavored, and the calamari was tender and crispy with classic tempura style coating, I recommend trying any of these appetizers if you visit! The simple classic salmon and Tuna rolls were delicious and fresh, and the Dragon Roll had a delicious shrimp tempura filling and the eel on top made for a flavorful combination. The Tres Roll was creamy and savory and the Red Dragon Roll was my mom's favorite because of its sauce, but my favorite was the Matsu Salmon Roll, which tasted like a Roll I might enjoy in NYC. If you enjoy Salmon with fresh veggies and don't mind the taste of shiso and cilantro, I recommend you get this one. Lastly, the yuzu cheesecake was to die for, it was so tangy and creamy, the perfect palate cleanser to end the meal on. Definitely get this if you stop by!

Don't expect to call in a pick up order, and if you place one to go you're going to wait 20-40 mins. But its so worth it! From classic rolls, to their signature striped tiger roll, everything I've had from here is top notch! If you like ramen, I suggest the tonkotsu. Just don't get it to go, as the noodles will be rubber before you get home. Its a good idea to call ahead to reserve or check for seating if you have more than 4 people in your party. I highly recommend Glassico to anyone looking for worth while sushi, tempura, Ramen, or sashimi in the St. Robert/ Ft. Leonardwood area!
