Today I came into Lynch's Furniture and Appliances and said to the salesman that greeted me that I had called and asked about Zero Gravity Recliners a couple of days before. He introduced himself as Jake and said that he remembered the phone call and how could he help me. I sat down at the table and told him that I was wanting a Zero Gravity Recliner because I suffer from back pain and Breathing problems and general stiffness from arthritis. I told him that due to my age that this is probably the last recliner I would buy, but that I was a bit hesitant about due to my size if I could find a good fit. I showed him on my phone the Recliner I was interested in and when he saw that it was from Southern Motion he started to get into gear. It seems that they carry a pretty fair sized line of Southern Motion Recliners and suggested that I look at the quality that is prominent in the whole line. We took the measurements of the chair I wanted and he went through everyone of that line telling me seat width, seat depth, and other measurements. When we arrived back at the table, he left me with a swatch book of about 350 fabrics and leather colors to choose from and the young lady behind the counter came out to help me while he waited on someone that had just came in. Jake came back and apologized for his absence. I was not offended but told him I had settled in my mind what I wanted. The purchase was made and while the payment was being processed I told him I was surprised with so many of our Soldiers and Seniors like me, suffering from back, leg, breath- ing and other types of circulatory problems that these types of chairs could help relieve why they weren't available along with the other recliners for people to try. He said that they were considered "Special Orders" and so they weren't ordered for the showroom floor. He said he had never been asked about one before. Folks, I know that I am going to enjoy my chair and I invited Jake to check it out when it comes in so he can have a more informed idea of what a Zero Gravity Recliner feels like. Maybe he could help someone else find the kind of comfort that will make them feel better too. He smiled and said he would like to do just that. It was a good shopping trip at Lynch's my hometown furniture store and although I will have to wait a few weeks for my recliner (due to the Covid backing up the production of orders); I am sure that I will be happy with my choice. Read moreWe called Lynchs yesterday as we'd missed black Friday, only to learn they were continuing a huge sale til Monday night. We had several appointments & couldn't get there til tues. Do u know the owner said she'd STILL make sure we got a terrific price on the 2 recliners we're after? I was so shocked & pleased we dropped everything & went over yesterday during sale. We purchased 2 chairs, one was priced down at $1499 a beautiful buttery cream colored chair with (my favorite) an electric button. My husband picked out a stunning manual rocker recliner that was a lovely chocolate brown price was lowered to $999. They dropped the prices even further.. mine down to $999 & his to $699. Normally we only buy matching recliners. The sales rep (a really great guy who worked hard 2 make sure we were happy) overheard us and while we were discussing the differences in the recliners.. he went to talk 2 the owner. When he came back over he told us the owner had allowed us to "match" the color and fabric on the 2 recliners... for free. Can you believe that? We did match my chair to his. Love that! For the 1st time, the chair i picked actually fit me. for years we've purchased big Lanes or LazyBoys as we have to sleep in them due to back problems. They told us on the phone that they no longer carry Lanes as they were bought out and the quality suffered. Amazing, Honest Sellers. And finally.. we were trying 2 decide how to store the chairs since we have an elderly dog who's in her last year. So with the accidents from her struggles to stand, we need our carpets cleaned or replaced before moving anything in. The owner is holding the chairs for us for several months. Til the weather warms enuf to clean the carpets. Lynchs Rocks!!
The prices may have begun a bit higher than Paul's but the quality was amazing. Not to mention they had exactly what we needed. Pauls didnt have the big huge chairs when we last looked.
We stopped in 2 pick up a more legible reciept & the owner came out and letmm us know the chair I'd ordered was discontinued. Shocking. But in the end i picked out one identical to my husband's with the electronic open n close. For $200 less. Nice! She wrote us a check back for $195, like I'm said.....
Read moreIn July of 2020 we purchased 2 sofas from Lynch's furniture. The sofas were delivered within a timely manner however, one was delivered damaged. At the time of purchase, we also purchased a warranty to cover any and all damages. Today 11/22/2020 we have made several requests for repair. The sofa is still not repaired with no resolution in sight from what we have been told by the staff at Lynch's. Shortly after purchasing the sofas, we purchased a large office suite (desk, hutch and credenza), after months with only communication when we sought it out, our office suite was finally delivered yesterday 11/21/2020. I've posted for your review, screenshots of the communications via text the owner had with us. We were not even given the professionalism of a personal phone call, we received these texts yesterday when the delivery did not come as scheduled and I left a voicemail asking for a phone call. Her last comment to me was "It's a shame." Although her point of the comment was to blame her delivery person, it is her lack of communications and unprofessionalism that is the true shame. And as you can see by the screenshots, she has negative things to say directed at those employed by the government, which I am not. There are the screenshots for your review and I encourage you to carefully consider prior to making a purchase at Lynch's. It saddens me to write such a poor review as our furniture is wonderful as is her salesman there at the store and the delivery personnel though late without a courtesy call, were superior while at our home during the delivery of our office suite. As you will see, in the screenshots, we have been encouraged not to purchase from Lynch's in the future as we definitely plan not to do and I am in hopes that this review will save other's from the same...
