Not sure why my original review was removed, but I am sure the owner bought the software that removes them so I will just rewrite it with a lower score. I went there years ago with my inventory that was overstock. The staff originally hired when they opened were wonderful. My last few visits there were absolutely awful! I would say I was greeted by the girl with the almost shaved head, but she basically was just barking her responses at me. She was nasty about signing in, even though, it had been the same since they opened. She was rude to say the least. I was told that I had to leave my items overnight. I had to drive back an hour only to have her quote me one price for each item (totaling $50 cash), but somehow her math came to $40 in the end. Not sure what kind of rip off job she was pulling when the store credit quoted to me was higher than the $50 cash and the pay out was only $40. After that experience, I always drove south to Virginia Beach and New Port News to their competitor's resale shops with my excess inventory. I made triple of what she quoted me on the excess inventory. Not...
Read moreThis is my 5th or 6th time coming in here trying to give them clothes and my bag of clothes had 3 really nice American eagle jeans that are worth 50 bucks EACH from there and 10 American eagle shirts. And most people shop at American eagle so you can do the math. 150 for just the jeans. And uptown wouldn’t even take them. They were in really nice condition and haven’t been worn much. Everytime I go in there they return everything and keep one thing or so. And all I see on their rack is Walmart shirts and wrinkly worn down shirts. See this is how you’ll lose business. Pretty sure I’d i went to Plato’s closet they would take more than uptown would. Miles well everyone go to marshals across the street since they have better clothes. I wouldn’t recommend anyone coming here. If you want to buy clothes then yeah look around but if you want to exchange clothes don’t even think about it. They will just return it all back to you. This place is terrible. Trust me this isn’t the first time someone said something like this I mean just look at the reviews. Basically...
Read moreTook my kid to uptown cheapskate to get trendy clothes. She said afterwards that this was her new favorite store. It’s worth stopping at when in the area. They had Ugg, simply southern, Kate spade, Lululemon, etc. when we went. There were some new clothes too, but we stuck to resale stuff. The young ladies there are dressed well for their positions and are attentive. The music was popular and not offensive or too loud. They don’t have bags or carts but will start a bin for you with your name on it. One was offered by staff and we accepted. When you’re ready to try things on, they retrieve your items. They take the unwanted items and you just go check out. They have a lot of new things and I wish they had more used jewelry-maybe I didn’t see that part. They can get quite busy at the cash register, dealing with full fitting rooms and working the floor answering questions and showing patrons around; so be kind. I walked out with like 5 items for about $30....
