They give you amazing 50 dollars off of their products or services and last year it was awesome to help pay for some botox. Since then I discovered dysport. 1 unit of Botox is equal too 2.5 units of dysport. I came In and was going to ask about there dysport to see if they mix it differently,(because they both cost 10 dollars a unit) I could not recall the name off the top of my head. I asked " what's the generic type of Botox." I was shocked with the answer. She said there are no generic type there are different types but run about the same cost wise. I use dysport regularly at another Spa. I guess she thought I was stupid. I just could not remember the name, I wanted to know if they mixed their dysport differently to make it equal to the same amount of Botox. But I guess not. I did not tell her I use dysport regularly, it works just as well but cost weigh less. I can only afford to take care of my whole face for about $200 every 4 to 6 months. And I need a lot because my muscles above my eyes are really strong. I feel stupid because I let them know I had the gift card I got for my birthday. She also told me they will not accept coupons for Botox. I used it last year with a additional hundred dollars or so only for Botox and no one had a problem with that. When I walked out the door the girls snickered and said please come back before your coupon expires. I really want to talk to the manager, it's not a coupon it does not expire, and it's a $50 gift card toward any service or product. I don't dare talk to the manager and then use the gift card. I will be giving those girls access to my face. During the visit I also felt stupid because she let me know the most the women there come in and spend thousands of dollars I am to have tons of money to use. She said she only is able to afford Botox because she works there. Bad is a bunch of bull, I have been using Botox / dysport for the last 3 years, and I don't make $100,000 a month or a year. They need to treat everyone the same. I have been going to a new day spa and I get 50 units of dysport for $96. That ends up being more than 15 units Botox, where you would only get 9 units of Botox for $90 and if you only spend $90 I don't know what kind of treatment you will expect to get. They're great when you spend a few hundred dollars at a time. I am just bummed because I was looking forward to getting a discount on a few units of Botox to lift up my eyebrows. I still want to talk to the manager. I look forward to that gift card in the mail the last years but don't tell the staff you're going to use it until you're done or they will laugh at you and tell you 2 make sure to spend the coupon before it expires. LOL. LOL. LOL. There is no expiration date. Would anybody like a $50 gift card to Salt Lake City Med Spa. I have one available, I am too embarrassed to walk back in there sense I don't bring in thousands of dollars...
Read moreDisappointed! This is in response to my friend "Pri" who posted her review about a week ago. Pri mentioned that she went to an "open house" and you replied saying that you didn't do any "open House" since COVID. First, whether you called it "Open House" or "Botox Party" is not the point. The point is that you did offer a deal on September 2020. This deal was during a Botox party offered on September 26 (see picture) and it stated the following "introduce a new friend to the clinic, and you both only pay $8/unit." I introduced 2 friends of mine that day. Since it was a Botox party we assumed that we were paying for Botox. However, we made sure to ask again before paying that it was Botox -- just in case. Pri and I had our appointments set up (in separate days) way before our other friend. We both noticed that the results started fading after about 4 weeks. So we both suspected that you guys used Dysport instead. When our other friend went we told her to double check that she was getting Botox. Once she told you about our experience, then you said that we had the option to use either Botox or Dysport. First, since we doubled checked before paying for the units the days of the Botox party, we didn't even think about asking whether it was Botox the day of our appointments, because we had already made sure that we were buying Botox. Second, we were never asked during the appointment whether we wanted Botox or Dysport. The first time I went to the SLC Med Spa I was happy with the results, and that's why I introduced 2 friends. Pri gave the same feedback on your Instagram, but you deleted her comment and blocked her (seriously!). Unfortunately, for you, you are not able to delete the reviews on Google. At least not that easily. Lost 3 clients too.
Response to SLC Med Spa comment: because I would not go back to have done anything on my face if I no longer trust you. I read the reviews after I went to my appointment and many of your customers who called to complain said that you guys were extremely rude and unprofessional. I've already waisted my money, and I didn't want waist my time and stress out even more. But I did have to post after your response to my friend's comment basically saying that she was lying when she said you guys hosted another party. Any person can notice the tone used on each of your responses to negative reviews....
Read morePreviously, I rated them 5 stars when dr Larsen was the one doing the injections. He was perfect at lip filler and any facial injectable. He made you look natural. He is no longer doing injectables. Nurse Jackie did the filler in my lips on my last visit. I was confused as to why she used dental injections to numb my whole lower face. It turns out, it was because she injects over 20 times only along the rim of the lip. When the numbing wore off, my lips were on fire. They burned and were extremely painful for over a week. When the swelling went down, my lips weren't any bigger. The only change was a more defined lip edge. I have very small lips and I really don't care about defining the edge of my lip. What I care about is increasing the size of the lip and looking natural. Doctor Larsen only used a topical lidocaine and injected about 6 times into the belly of the lip. When dr Larsen performed injections, my lips looked fuller and natural. When nurse Jackie did my filler, they were the same small lips with a fake looking lip edge. Not worth it. In addition, the overall vibe is not the same as it was when Dr Larson was running things. It was more professional, and medical feeling. Now it's just like any other nurse run medical spa, superficial and lacks the sense of medical professional. I'm there for a medical procedure, not a party. THE exception was nurse Whitney. When she did my botox, she was very professional and did an excellent job.
Update in response to SLC Med spa comment: Why post this rating now? Well, there is no rule about the time frame between receiving service and posting a rating. But here you go 1. I last had lip filler right before Dr Larsen's accident. 2. The Pandemic hit, businesses closed, and I am a health care worker. I've been wearing a mask all day since March 2020 3. Since I was wearing a mask all day, I had no need for filler and decided to just wait until Dr Larsen came back. When he finally did, it was announced on your site that he would not be doing any injections. I waited a while longer due to fear of someone else doing it but then decided to give it a try. I figured now was good time since I still wear a mask all day. If it turned out bed, my mouth is covered anyway. Nurse Jackie may have been with you for 2 years, but I have only gone to her for the first time...
