I don't write Google reviews unless it is to say I had a great experience at a local business. But I had to warn people about this place. It was a Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was mostly empty. 6 of us arrive and we are asked for our ID's, they take our ID's and go in the back of the restaurant to scan them. 10 minutes later, he comes back and puts wrist bans on us. He asks how many in our party, we say 6. Then he stands there and counts us, "1,2,3,4,5,6". Ok be right back, I have to get a table ready". He then seats us. The table has been put together with an extra chair and menu. Yep, 7. Then a very, How do I say? Relaxed, looking server proceeds to take our order. We all order basic stuff, wings, burgers. Beer. The server then says, she needs to see our ID's. We show her our wrist bans. Nope, not enough. We show ID's AGAIN and order a sampler for the table. The ordering process was painful and took forever. The servers was just not "tracking". Remember, the place was mostly empty. A few minutes later our drinks arrive. Then about 10 minutes after that, the straws nobody asked for showed up. Another 30 minutes go by. The table of 2 next to us get their food. Except, only one of them got what they ordered. The girl sat the entire time her friend at waiting for the correct food. We STILL HAVE NOT RECIEVED our appetizer. Roughly 40 minutes have gone by, we finally start eating our sampler and then our food starts to show up. MOST of our food showed up. 1 girl in our party didn't get her meal, we all start sharing so that we can finally eat. I was so excited for french fries, you know those things that only go in a deep fryer, and when they come out they are all hot and sort of crunchy? Wrong! This place managed to delivery cold, limp, potato sticks disguised as french fries. My burger was also cold. It is not like I expect a Michelin experience at a Buffalo Wild Wings. After all, we had just been helping a friend move... we were hungry and ready for some Beer and Wings and a place to chill for a few minutes. We couldn't even do that. Even though the place was relatively empty, they had the volume of the TV's cranked to 11. The 2 staff members were definitely a little "sedated" and the food was just O.K. As we were finally getting ready to leave, a table of 4 were arriving. I ALMOST warned them to leave while they still could. When a beer and wings place in the heart of Sugerhouse is empty on a rainy Saturday afternoon is empty, that is your sign to go...
Read moreThe Salt Lake Sugar House location is the worst. They have been short staffed for what seems like forever... the food has been mediocre...The wings taste a little overcooked and dried out. Tonight, we had a waiter who was training a new hire, and they seemed to be most attentive at the beginning, but after we got our food, it was like we weren't on the radar anymore. We asked for some ketchup, in which our waiter said surely, i'll be right back. 15 minutes later he comes to check on us and forgot to bring us the ketchup, so we asked for it again. As we continue to eat, our waters are getting low, so we make eye contact several times with our waiter who busy's himself by watching what is on the TV. He finally comes back to our table and asks if we are all finished, in which we asked for some more water since our cups were empty, and a few boxes for the 18 wings we had left over to take home and our check. Our waiter returned with two small boxes and our check and filled our water cups. Then we continued to wait for another 10-15 minutes for him to come back to take our check, as well as ask for another box since we weren't able to fit all our leftovers in the two small boxes he gave us. He came back with another small box, and our check to sign but with no pen. Instead of waiting, I got up to go 10 feet away to their hub station to ask a different waiter for a pen. Before signing the check, my date and I were fed up, and we asked to see the manager, who did take a discount off our meal but then proceeded to tell us that in the future she would want us to tell a manager while these issues were happening instead of after the fact.
The time before tonight was a few months ago, I went with some friends, Service was just as slow, food was just okay, and three of my friends ordered some drinks from the bar, in which it took half way into our meal before the drinks even came to our table.
Overall, this location needs to get it together. Every few months, I get that wing craving, and go back to bdubs hoping they've stepped it up, but tonight was just another disappointment, I think for the last time. Good luck...
Read moreThis is disappointing, I'm a huge bdubs fan! But I will probably never go there again after three bad experiences at three separate locations. Seems like a executive level situation going on here. This particular one really messed up my Saturday. I took my family in there to get some lunch before we had to get to a family party. We had 2 hours before the party so we should have plenty of time to grab some lunch, grab a couple things for the party and head out from there. But when we got there , we walked in, stood there for 13 minutes before a single person even walked up to see us. And all the person said was do you need something?.... I said yeah, I'd like to eat some food. She said. Oh okay, let me go clear a table. It'll be about 10 minutes. I looked around to see a total of four occupied tables, two with three people and two with four people. This place was essentially empty for a Saturday afternoon at lunch during a big football game. But I said okay. Anyways. Another 22 minutes goes by before they come back to sit us down. I'm super irritated this point, but I figure I will ask the waiter if the kitchen is as understaffed as the dining room. But then I had to wait another 10 minutes before someone came to wait on our table. He asked us what drinks we wanted, to which I just said how busy is the kitchen, are you able to get us out of here in the next 40 minutes. He said "oh easily!" So we gave him our drinks, and he didn't return for another 10 minutes. And not only that, he dropped the drinks on the tables and walked off. To which we had to wait another 10 minutes before he came to take our order. Then once we finally gave our order it took 22 minutes to get our chicken wings. 🤦♂️🤦♂️. All the food we got to the table was mid at best! Super disappointing, especially since I spent $100 on lunch. We didn't even get a single refill in any of our drinks either. Took him another 10 to 12 minutes to go. Get my check and then another 10 minutes just to run my card. One of the worst dining experiences...
