Trying to not be too negative as I truly do feel it was a 1 star worthy visit. We were charged a fee upfront prior to seeing a provider..
My child went to urgent care due to a persistent nose bleed. Episodes which would last 20+ minutes.
We checked in and was seen in a reasonable amount of time. Filled in the MA on what’s happening and the MA asked where was he pinching to help stop the bleeding, he showed her around the midsection/fleshy part of the nose. She proceeded to tell him no, it should be on the upper part around the bridge/bony part. Mind you, there was a sense of frustration on her part.
Once she did her part on vitals and left, the PA came in didn’t even do an assessment, he sat down next to me and had a 10 minute (at most) conservation. Told us where he should be pinching his nose to help (which was where he was pinching..) and suggested we take him to an ENT, so he wrote a referral.
We were given paperwork’s to read about nose bleeds which confirms where he should apply pressure (again, my son had it right (the MA did not) and a referral..
It was disappointing that there were no future suggestions on how to prevent or temporarily stop except to apply pressure etc. didnt even do a hands on assessment and I was charged before a visit!?
When asked for an itemized billing, it only shows the providers name.. I understand that their time is valuable but to reasonably get charged for a service that wasn’t provided, it’s frustrating.
I had made this appointment through Solv. I noted my reason for visit and so if you don’t have the instrument or capacity to even address something like that, why accept the appointment?
I literally paid $178 to have a conversation with the PA for maybe a 10 minute conversation and maybe 5 minutes of his time to write a...
Read moreI went in for an infection that kept growing and only got smaller with a hot compress. I explained this. I said i and i quote "worried i will have to come back again if i dont get my the right meds" im a single mom and thats hard when i can just get help now. Saying that to a doctor with a God complex was a bad idea... i am gonna get this cultured now just to back what im about to say but Dr. Stephen Durkee abused me and made me feel AWFUL and said he wasnt worth finishing the conversation.... I was NOTHING but friendly as asking him "please dont just give me allergy meds when I know this isnt just allergies its infected." I have a picture of my lip many in fact. I will be reporting this man to every single board of treatment I can in case he excludes and mistreats more women in the future. He did it in the room alone where he knew no one but the patient heard him. The thing is I believe this guy cant help himself and he will do it again. And again. And indigo just treated me as less than a human being when I never had a problem there before not one. He was completely rude and gross and now its my lifes mission to turn his name into anyone who can hear me so that when he plays God and does it again you know and the people who defended it know in their hearts how HURT and HUMILIATING that was for no reason only to turn around and give me th antibiotic because he knew he did and said wrong for NO reason
The fact that i was fine and the women in that office KNOW i would never react like that for NO reason is just so wrong and...
Read moreThe overall experience was not very pleasant. I am not a person who typically write reviews, especially bad reviews, but my experience was just not great. I took my 2 year old daughter in yesterday for urgent care, because she accidentally pushed a chickpea in her nose at school. They did not have any tools to help her with this situation, even though I told them what happened, they still admit us and charged us upfront for deductible of $178, not booking through my insurance, which I found odd, but I did not have time to argue at that moment. After we waited to be seen, the only method they told me was to do the mother’s kiss, nothing else, which I could have Googled myself. Of course the method did not work, and the doctor even said it is okay for the chickpea to stick there for a few days. I was like no that is not okay. Fortunately we went to Seattle Children’s hospital in the afternoon and the doctor there got it out with the right tools. I am not happy with what they did at Indigo. If you can’t help with the situation or do not have the adequate tools or skill set, please tell you patient and sent them...
