Normally I’d say this is my favorite place to come, but lately - not so much. I used to always look forward to the pot roast, but today and last couple times - it has been tough, very dry. They also used to do fresh seasonal veggies on the side, now it’s just the mirepoix and mushroom in the roast juice. Plus, the food wasn’t hot at all more like warm or room temperature at best. Some parts felt cold. The food looks great don’t get me wrong and has overall a good taste but I would like to enjoy a nice hot meal when I think of a slow cooked pot roast. We all asked for tea, only a couple of ours was not very warm maybe just room temperature. At the beginning, I asked for a straw for my water. That never came. And I was too tired to ask. I also felt like the fried chicken that my son ordered looked well over done and dry. He mentioned his food also wasn’t all the same temp/hot either. Now not that I don’t expect them to do something for birthdays, but our waitress was very adamant that they don’t do “anything” special. She said maybe could get a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the house. No worries, we weren’t very hungry for dessert. Anyway, I’m just wondering if there’s been a change in chef’s or restaurant decision’s for meals with the change in overall quality and consistency?

Went here for breakfast because I really wanted a Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary was pretty awesome for the garnish it had a olive, a green bean, celery stick, a chunk of pepper jack cheese I think and a strip of really good bacon. The over all flavor of it was ok it could of used a lil bit more vodka and maybe a lil more spice but it was good. To eat I had the eggs Benedict which was really good. So while we were eating the fire alarm kept going of and was really loud and unfortunately it triggered my PTSD and I started having a anxiety attack and I had to leave and my fiancee had to pay our bill for me because I couldn't be in the building any longer it was also really loud inside in general so with the fire alarm going off and on and it being loud in general ruined my breakfast I was wanting to enjoy😞 today 6/10/25 I guess my fiancee told our waitress how it triggered my PTSD and she said the waitress didn't seem to care whatsoever and didn't really apologize which is kinda disappointing to hear.

Got on the waitlist and received an eta for seating which I really appreciated. When we walked in there was a table ready for us but this place is super popular so I think we just got really lucky so I wouldn’t expect that every time. The busyness shows the love the community has for this place and I can see why. The food was great my muffin came with butter so if you don’t like that ask for it dry. I didn’t mind my hash browns but if you want them extra crispy just ask. I will do that next time. I got the migas omelette and I was huge, delicious, and hot. My friend got the classic eggs Benedict and he said “these are some of the best I’ve had”. Our server (tall) Dylan, was attentive but not overbearing. We had everything we needed. We loved the atmosphere. It was really nostalgic and welcoming. We are absolutely going to work our way through the menu.

My friends and I had our breakfast on Saturday morning. Plenty of people already in the restaurant to enjoy the food. We asked for seating by the balcony next to the heat lamp. We ordered Benedicts and California scrambles. After checking out other people's reviews, I told my friends that everyone talked about their pumpkin pancakes. As it turns out, the pumpkin pancakes are indeed the best pancakes I have tried! The waitress told us that the chef uses real pumpkin puree to make the pumpkin pancake. It's very moist yet, fluffy, so soft that it's almost like cake. The two of us that ordered the Benedicts can finished our portion with leftover pancakes to take home. The two ladies that ordered the California scrambles can only finishe half of it and pack home for another full meal! I would say that with inflation and meal prices goes up crazily during COVID, the restaurant provides a full meal with a reasonable price and very delicious food which is very impressive. No wonder it's very packed by the time we left...

What is happening to what used to be my favorite place to eat before Covid? Since returning, it's sad. First off there is never any pie left by Sunday. And even when the pies come in, they are limited to only a couple of selections. Tonight my Dad's chicken was burned! Typically he loves the fried chicken. The poor waitress came back from the kitchen to tell us that is the way it cooks and if he remakes it, it will be the same. He ordered a burger instead and over twenty minutes later on a slow night it still isn't here. My sweet potato fries were on the edge of burn, I don't mind it but others would and really they shouldn't come out that dark. We told them to cancel the order and the waitress did bring out the meal to go, no charge and we are getting a gift card. The waitress was in no way responsible and did her best. But something is wrong with management. They are making it right but the evening a bust for my 88 year old Dad who doesn't get out much. And despite making it right the manager didn't show his...
