On June 29th 2023 I needed to downsize my fiancée's engagement and wedding rings. We decided on using Adorn, as we had purchased my wedding ring from the location earlier this year and had a decent experience.
My fiancée and I found the appropriate ring size with help from one of the employees and showed her the two rings. We explained (in no uncertain terms) that both rings needed to be downsized to fit on her left ring finger. The employee quoted the resizing for both rings would be $60 and completed before 7pm the same day.
I received a call at 5:45pm from the store informing that the rings were ready for pick up. Satisfaction and relief rushed over me in an awesome wave.
I arrived to the store shortly after 6pm to pick up the rings. They appeared undamaged and the resizing seamless.
The final price was $70; slightly more than quoted earlier albeit when considering taxes, labor, the expediency of the service, and the thought of my future wife being able to securely wear her rings without them slipping off into the abyss made the $10 price difference inconsequential.
My fiancée tried them on shortly after I came home to discover that while the wedding band was resized, the engagement ring hadn't been touched. The wave of relief and satisfaction I felt under an hour ago receded to frustration and disappointment teetering on a groomzilla class of anger.
When my fiancée called the store about the engagement ring, they swore to perform the already paid and half done service for "free". When asked about any type of refund for a job half done the employee on the line became argumentative and hostile.
Word to the wise: -When they quote you a price, get it in writing. -When picking up after a resize, bring the person it's supposed to fit. -Don't leave here trusting a really simple job to be performed as agreed and paid for like I did. -Be sure the people assisting you here all grab a juice box and sit criss-cross applesauce in a semi-circle while you slowly read from a picture book to explain what...
Read moreCollectively my wife and I have purchased our wedding bands (3 in total) an engagement ring, and a separate ring from this place over the last year. My wife's engagement ring constantly had problems the month we brought it home. Literally every month a diamond would fall off the ring from a different spot on the ring. This would occur every month or two and after the 5th time I brought it in I was fed up with them sending it back to the jewelry to get repaired. On top of that the rhodium they used on their white gold only lasts about a month before you start seeing your jewelry begin to yellow. All around quality of their builds and plating is cheap and I wouldn't recommend anybody buying a nice wedding ring/bands from here. I was browsing Diamonds Direct and they were kind enough to rhodium my wife's rings for free as a courtesy while we waited to purchase other jewelry and we've gone about 4 months without needing to have it re plated.
I thought we were getting good deals at Adorns but it turns out that their online prices are actually cheaper than in store prices. The owner (Carlos) marks up the price around 50%, sometimes more then tells his customers that he'll give them a good deal by marking it down half off. These guys are scammers and I wouldn't bother doing business with them unless you want headaches down the road. I'd recommend going to Kays, Zales, or Diamonds direct instead for quality gold...
Read moreWorst experience i've ever had with any jewelry store. The owner (or manager, idk..) was unbelievably rude and mean when u tried to fix the ring I bought for my wife. I got to buy it and there was a stone missing, he told me with big O fake smile that they will fix it tomorrow. I came back and they messed it up they Smashed the band and it was completely different from the other one, and he told me to come back in one hour after fixing it and second time was giving me altitude and even raising his voice in front of people and telling me "I don't see no problem in it" and he gave me the tool to measure it myself and didn't wanna show me how to use it and I figure it out and the different between the messed up band and the other three was 1.7 mm!! And he's telling me it's nothing and we don't consider it and I don't see it and continously talking in a very rude and ugly way. I really felt threatened all of them (the staff ) were looking at me and he was getting closer and closer to me and yelling and couldn't do nothing cuz I was in his store! but suddenly some costumers came into the store so he stopped yelling and told me that he will give me my money back and won't sell me anything LOL. UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE HE DIDN'T EVEN GIVE A FAKE APOLOGIZE!! Worst costumer service, I'm not surprised at all from all other bad reviews. Will definitely let all my family and friends to not buy stuff...
