Geek Squad — Local services in San Carlos

One of the worst experiences just to get a phone fixed.

Went in for a simple screen repair. At forst all was well i was helped quickly and efficiently. I was told 3-4hrs which is whatever repairs take time i get that. However.

After said 5 hours i had no updates or any help as to when my phone wpuld be done. Even the online tracking had sn error code. Called customer support and her response was just "well it's been a few hours go check."

When i show up im told it'll only be 10 minutes. So I gave them 20. Then i was told that the information they recieved from the first person i interacted with didnt check in my device properly so then i was told it would be 30 minutes. I gave them an hour. Then after i show up again im told they're doing diagnostics it'll only be 30 minutes AGAIN. gave them another hour. When i show up again im told it'll only be 10 minutes AGAIN. So we sit and wait for another 30 minutes only to be asked "did someone bring your phone out?" To which i reply with no just to be told oh they must of forgot.

I paid almost $300 fkn dollars just to be dcked around for hours. Even left work early just to be dcked around. Avoid these geeks...

Called in about problems I was having installing some new computer hardware I had purchased and was told by Connor I'd have to bring the computer in to the store and they could help install it He could have walked me through the steps over the phone in 3 minutes, but instead he wanted me to lose a half day to take the computer in and another half day to pick it up in 2 weeks. I have a Geek Squad membership so it would have cost THEM more for me to take it in.
