This salon is unprofessional and charges so much money. I have been there 4 times and the 4th was the absolute last after this terrible experience.
The 4th visit- I scheduled an appointment about a month out to get the stylist I had the initial time I went to the salon. They called me about a week and half out and said that the appointment was no longer available and that I would have to cancel. Then I reschedule another month out just to get the same stylist. Finally the appointment day comes. I switched my entire work schedule to get there. As I'm driving there I get a call that the stylist is "running behind" and I would have to either reschedule or only get a partial highlight instead of the full. I was very upset and I told them I really wanted to come in for the full highlight. So they said they would squeeze it in. Which meant the whole time she was working on my hair that night she was trying to work on other people too.
When she asked what I wanted when I got there I showed the 2 photos I posted here. I told her I wanted it blonde and well blended because I dont die often so I want it to look natural when growing out. I had been to this stylist before years ago and she did a great job so I thought it would be fine. When I got home I realized I have a huge skunk streak in the front of my head. The coloring and blending look nothing like the photo either and the highlights are barely different then the previous color. After a day I realized I had to call the salon to have it corrected. They told me to come in the next day at 1045 for a consultation. At 1030 I got a call that yet again my stylist is running behind and to come at 11. I get there at 11 and then had to wait until 1130 until I was actually seen. The stylist came and said she had to go get the manager. I sat and waited and the manager never came. The stylist came back and said she could fix the front for free by putting a semi permanent die on it or if I wanted it redone I would have to pay the price of a half highlight(which is extremely expensive). I was fed up at this point and said okay just fix the front then. She said she would do it right then which is frustrating because they said it was only a consultation when they told me to come in. I took before and after pictures as seen below. It still looks exactly the same. Still a huge blonde streak in the front which exactly what I didnt want. When all said and done it was 2 hours of my life spent there and it still looks the same at not at all what I asked for.
Another story about their service. A while back I booked and appointment with a the same stylist and I get a call that the appointment is no longer available but they could switch me to someone else. That girl ended up doing a good job but same saga of switching my appointments
The last time prior to this terrible experience I had a horrific experience with someone named autumn. There were no appointments available with the person I wanted to see so the front desk said autumn was on the same level. Let me just tell you she was not. I went in for a highlight. I came out with tons of broken hairs. She also couldn't brush my hair after the highlight and was kind of panicking and freaking out. We spent 40-50 minutes at the bowl with her trying to brush through the tangled mess she made.
After all of these terrible experiences and how many chances I have given this salon I would never recommend...
Read moreIt is with a heavy heart that I write this review. I have been coming to Belli Belli on and off for 8 years (I say on and off because I live almost an hour away). The staff is nice and everyone is very welcoming. I've loved the haircuts that Alexis has done for me in the past. . I wanted to start off by saying Sandy is very sweet and I think she's a wonderful person. This review is in regards to a balayage I had done by Sandy. So I'm a licensed hairstylist myself and have spent thousands of dollars on learning balayage and blonding techniques. I came in to Sandy after a friend of mine had done my hair which looked beautiful, but there were a few gold pieces in front and a couple areas I wanted broken up more. I had been in the sun in Arizona and my hair was a little brassy, So before I came to see Sandy I toned my hair down so she'd have a clean canvas (my natural is a level 7 and my highlights were a 9, so I put a level 7/8 on to match my natural). The product I used is a Demi permanent gloss so it's really easy to lighten through.
When I got there, Sandy already had my color mixed up without even knowing anything about my hair history or what I wanted (first red flag). During the consult I told her I only ever get a partial highlight and wanted to keep a lot of my natural untouched so I have dimension. So we agreed on a balayage vs babylight with shadow root as I try not to put artificial color on my hair as it fades warm.
After watching Sandy, I was really nervous by her sloppy technique but decided to just have faith because her work looked good from other reviews. When it came time to rinse, I asked the assistant how it was looking and she said "Ummmmm well we still have to tone it...." ( red flag). Then Sandy asked if she could do a root shadow in certain areas just to blend where it was too blonde.
After she blowdried me, it looked fine from the surface. So I sent her a message thanking her. It wasn't until I got home that I saw what a mess my hair was!!!! I'm so devastated how any stylist could see how it looked and let a client leave. So unprofessional.
When I wrote Jeanelle and just said I'd really like my money back, that I don't feel comfortable coming back, she refused. So I spent almost $300 and now have to have someone else fix it! I can honestly say I know how clients feel when they have a traumatic hair experience. It's scary and you lose trust. The one and only time I've ever done my own hair (which was over 6 months ago), it turned out way better than when Sandy did it! At least it was perfectly blended. Jeanelle responded on another review trying to blame me for the way my hair turned out, saying Ive been licensed less than a year, etc... The fact that Jeanelle blames a client for the way their hair looks as a result of Sandy's application is despicable! I did not decline babylights, I declined a shadow root because any artificial color always fades warm. Whenever I get my hair highlighted normally, I just get a partial. The picture I originally sent Sandy looked pretty from the surface but it was a mess underneath! That is why I didn't even notice until I got home. The surface work wasn't even hers, but was from a previous stylist. Take ownership Jeanelle and stop blaming the clients for stylists...
Read moreI had the most devastating and traumatizing haircut experience ever. I went with super long hair below my waist, and was seen by Lovely, and told her I wanted to cut 3 to 4 inches, I even said let’s start with 3 and if needed we can to to 4, and I showed her a bunch of long layers pictures, and told her I wanted that. Omg!! She put my hair in 3 pony tails and chopped 10- 12 inches off. I suddenly panicked and went into state of shock. I told her that I never wanted this much off, I came in to get 3 inches off with adding some layers. Instead of taking accountability and apologizing for her mistake, she put the whole blame on me and said I wanted this much off. I said I showed her pics of long layers, and showed her how short she cut my hair, and she kept blaming me. Then, the director of Belli Belli salon came and blamed me as well, and she told me to let Lovely fix the ends to make it even, but since they cut so much, it’s better to not layers as it will be shorter. So Lovely didn’t even add layers, for which I had gone for. I was left with a horrible ugly haircut and they took 10-12 inches of my hair. Afterwards, Lovely said, “I thought you wanted to donate your hair that’s why you wanted a haircut.” I was shocked. I never even mentioned to donate my hair. I didn’t even talk about donating. I went to get 3 inches off the length with adding long layers. I told her no, I never even talked about donating my hair. She didn’t even apologize. It gets worst, she actually has the audacity to tell to my face that now her hair is much longer than mine, I asked her how long, she says upto her waist. I remain there silent, in rage, sad, upset, frustrated, and disappointed. I was extremely upset, so upset that I held my tears. I paid her $100 and left. For one whole week, I had horrible nightmares about my hair and how long it was, and how short and ugly it is now. I would see my pictures and the emotions of sadness, upset, frustration, disappointment would rush over me. This happened for a week until my husband said let’s go and talk to them for why they did this.
My husband and I went there and spoke with them. Unfortunately, Lovely wasn’t in. And the girls at the receptionist said we will either refund you or fix your hair. So I saw Daniel, and she tried to fix my hair, she gave face framing so now it’s slightly better. But it’s not as near as a good layers. She tried her best, so that was nice. But the hairstylists at Belli Belli suck at their jobs, they don’t even know how to give a good haircut, they don’t even know how to do layers. The hairstylists there say to get the layers style, you have to blow dry and curl the hair. That’s not true. If the hair is cut in a proper layers style, you don’t need excessive heat and blow drying to give style, it will naturally fall and flow into layers style. I still have nightmares about my hair to this day. Overall, the hairstylists here at Belli Belli do NOT know how to cut hair especially long hair. Beware!!!!!!! Stay away from them, especially if you have long hair, they will cut all your hair, either for selling your hair or making...
