J Street Flats — Local services in San Diego

BEWARE!!!!

I don't know if all the cockroach comments are true but I'm feeling like I probably dodged a bullet after reading some of the ratings made here....

Spoke to mgr. Dawn Monday morning, stated she had students vacating early July and encouraged me to go online and fill out an application. I did so and sent my financials, which included my social. Wednesday, having not heard a word, called and am told by Dawn "I haven't checked my email, I've been SO busy. We don't have any rooms for July or August." Meanwhile, perturbed I'd had my time wasted, I called back. "Dawn has left for the day.", it was 3 p.m. Busy???? Huh......

Even worse, turns out their website doesn't even route your application directly to the hotel manager. So who's in possession of my application, including information which could be used for identity theft? And why was I ever encouraged to even send it if they aren't bothering to check emails?

I FIRST WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT THE PROPERTY MANAGER IRYNA HAS BEEN A GREAT HELP TO MYSELF AND MY WIFE. I AM A TENANT HERE AT JST FLATS AND I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT A GREAT EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH IRYNA THE PROPERTY MANGER. I WOULD RECOMMEND JST FLATS OR ISLAND FLATTS TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS A PLACE TO LIVE. IRYNA IS A HARD, PROFESSIONAL, AND VERY HELPFUL,AND FAIR PERSON. IRYNA IS ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP IN ANYWAY SHE CAN. MY WIFE AND I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THANK YOU PERSONALLY TO IRYNA FOR EVERYTHING. I will never go there again in my entire life and tell my kids to hide away from this literal piece of @!?#%. I give two stars just because of the location and some friendly clerks. (And by some, I mean only two of them). I spent there 6 whole weeks. The internet is the worst I've ever seen in my entire life. I met some nice cockroaches in every single room I went to. The view is really awful from the first floor. The floors smell like weed. There's a lot of strange/crazy people living there. There's no actual kitchen, just a poor microwave. Stay away from here of you stay more than one week. The bathrooms look weird and are a real sauna in...
