My first time coming here and it will be my last. Never again. Horrible customer service experience. My massage therapist was kind and gave me the relaxing massage I needed. But the manager Charleen was rude and made the paying/tipping process difficult. I wasnât told I had to tip in cash. I had no cash on me, just my debit card. They have an ATM machine but charge extra to withdrawal anything. So one of the front desk employees said they can charge me the tip on my debit card, give it to me in cash, then hand the tip over to my therapist. I thought that was a great solution. Fast forward, the manager then came into my room when I had already undressed to lay on the table and told me they werenât allowed to do that. Prior to my experience with the manager, I was debating with the front desk employee about how long I wanted my massage to be because of parking. I originally paid for a 2 hour massage, but changed my mind realizing there wasnât parking available for more than 2 hours, so I decided to do the 90 minute to avoid getting a parking ticket. Also, seeing how unprofessional the manager made the situation, I thought it be best to get out of there soon. The location is in downtown with only street parking that charges by meter. They had already charged me for the 2 hour massage which was fine because I was promised by the manager Iâd get a refund of the difference after my massage was done. And I was expecting to use that refund as a tip. When I was done, the manager wasnât around to be found and two front desk employees said they werenât able to do the refund because the manager had to do it. Now Iâm out an extra $40. I paid for the 2 hour when I got a 90 minute and I had to pay extra for cash tip. Apparently theyâll take care of the refund not providing me any proof or trust that it will be taken care of. Without the refund even being processed, they said Iâd get my refund in 3-5 days. Before you hire people, train them well so they know how to communicate with guest. And if youâre a manager, learn how to fulfill the guest expectations after promising them a solution. Everyone gave me the ok, however nothing was done to help better my experience. I expect to get my refund without going back, otherwise I will call my bank to report them. Donât come here. Itâs not worth it. Youâll just get stressed out and worked up even more after your massage that was intended to help you relax in the first place. It defeats...
Read moreSo I was looking for a good massage for a good price and boy did Happy feet meet my needs. I made my appt online as recommended per other reviews. I paid using my credit card but stopped at the ATM to get some cash for a tip (also as recommended) Only thing was I didn't have time to break the $20. Once I arrived the Receptionist checked me in and went over the services that they offer in case I decided to try something else besides the Deep Tissue Massage I booked for. I thanked her and told her that the Deep Tissue massage would be good enough for me. She then explained to me the process of how she would be taking me into a private room for My Deep tissue Massage. As she opened the door to the main room There was about 10 massage chairs in a big open room with 2 of them being occupied by customers who were getting there $39 Happy Massage (Which I heard is awesome, but only 30 mins). The receptionist then explained to me that the masseuse would be joining me in my room after I undressed then lay under the 1st sheet on the massage table The Receptionist will offer to break any bills for change to tip your masseuse after your massage your Masseuse will greet you at the front desk with a glass of water, (this is when you tip). The rooms were very clean and the ambience was peaceful, There was soft listening music playing throughout the building with the dim lighting I found it to be very tranquil. My Masseuse came in and proceeded to move my arms above my head and then started in on my shoulders. The massage was a deep tissue massage that was 1 hour long it was worth every darn cent. I'll be back there for another massage before my 7 for 7 offer expires. (get $7 off your next full body massage within 7 days of...
Read moreIf you want true reflexology do NOT go here. We travel to San Diego once a year and got a foot massage a year ago as well, and the experience was similar.
The lady massaging my feet was simply rubbing. Not actually touching any pressure points or âdigging inâ as a true reflexologist would. I even told her to press harder, and she repeated what I said, but continued with the same light rubbing (she didnât speak English well). We also called ahead of time and requested hard pressure before. And indicated when we arrived that we didnât want to turn over to do back, and wanted more foot instead. The girl working the front said âokâ and wrote it down, so thought weâd be good here. When the masseuse kept telling me to turn over, I had to tell her no back and more foot 3 times and she didnât understand, so I just got up with about 10-15 minutes left in the massage.
Whatâs interesting is that when I went back to the lobby, not one of the 3 receptionists noticed I got up early, and didnât ask how it was either way. I didnât feel like complaining as I did a year ago & that did nothing. Someone simply wrote in the system âdid not like Tiffanyâ but no manager followed up with us. And the girls at the front certainly didnât care. Our payment was taken up front, and everyone had moved on.
Shame on me, at this point, for thinking the experience would be different. If you want true reflexology, seriously do...
