It's a wonderful venue. I visit frequently for San Diego symphony performances as well as other concerts. It holds a special intimacy because I've been going there since I was 10 years old when I attended the kitties matinee. Now the whole theater has been refurbished and it looks just like it should have 50 years ago but it's brand new. It's definitely a treat for the eyes. The sound is fantastic. I did find some of the ushers to be a little snooty and pompous. Maybe it's that they work there so long they've developed an attitude. Read moreThis place is immaculate. Incredibly beautiful venue. Their is a parking garage which is super affordable for a garage in Downtown San Diego. Their are plenty of places around to go eat as well if you want to make a date night out of a night at The Symphony. You can also text the concessions your order during the show so that at intermission you don't have to wait in the super long line. Read moreI really like coming to Symphony Hall, but two quick observations. 1) The signage to and from the parking structure to the Hall is horrendous. It's almost if they actually don't want you to find your way around 2) In this particular visit I saw more fossils walking around the Symphony lobby than I found at the Natural History Museum in Balboa Park.
