What's up yall,
I'm doing this review for few reasons, the service, the skills and the expertise.
The Gent who cut me today which is the owners name is Anthony. The location is great its in downtown next to a restaurant, the establishment is comfortable and professional with comfortable sofas and Tvs with good music and vibe all around. The people in there are friendly and approachable. The guys in there socialize with everybody and got good personalities, me personally when I'm at place of business and im trying to handle what I need to handle, I tend to not socialize as much and stay focused but it's kinda hard to do so with the positive vibes and the love they show to customers and even to the people who are just living in the community that were passing by it showed how genuine& lax the environment is. Anthony is a Pro and not to be cliche but he's surgically with the razor blade when he gives you a line up I doubt you will complain because I had the best line up with a sharp razor that I rarely get from anybody in a long minute. He pays attention to detail and takes his time while being friendly and communicative with his customers same goes for the other 3 barbers. I also got my hair shampoo'ed which I've never done before in a shop and the only reason Anthony insisted because he wanted to make sure that my hair on all sides and angles were even and cut right, that let me know this dude cares about his business and craft so it's nothing for me to pay a guy like that and his associates for the cut as one should and plus throw a 5-10 dollar tip because the guy is a Professional, and for a guy like me who had a hard time finding a solid barber to stick too, I have continued to retain Luxury...

I was raised by a barber. The scent of talc and clippers is nostalgia to me, and for years, my mother was the only person I trusted with my hair. So, when I say I’m discerning, I mean it. I know the difference between a cut and a craft.
Walking into The Luxury Barber Lounge, I felt that rare mix of calm confidence and quiet excitement. The environment wrapped me in understated class—clean lines, gentle music, and the kind of ambiance that tells your nervous system: you’re in good hands now.
Then there’s Jay. Professional. Attentive. Effortlessly sharp. He didn’t just ask what style I wanted; he asked why—what event I was cutting for, how I wanted to feel walking out that door. That level of awareness is the mark of a true artisan.
As the clippers began, I could feel the difference. Every motion was intentional—no rush, no autopilot. Jay shaped, faded, and refined with a surgeon’s focus and an artist’s soul. The precision of the blend, the care in the taper, even the rhythm of his movements—all tuned to perfection.
When he finished, I didn’t just look good; I felt powerful, relaxed, and restored. From the perfectly tailored fade to the cooling aftershave and the subtle forehead massage that eased away tension—it was five-star service disguised as a haircut.
If you think grooming is a task, Jay will show you it’s a ritual.
When you sit in his chair, you’re not a customer—you’re his most important client. And by the time you walk out, you’ll carry yourself like it!
RUN don’t walk to book your appointment with Jay at the Luxury Barber...
Read moreDisappointing experience today. I booked online with Anthony where it said $30 for a haircut. When I showed up, he told me he’d have one of his protégés give me a cut because he’s all booked up. I was told that next time if I wanted to book with him, I should text. Totally understandable, but I was confused why the booking link on Google here said he was available all day. Nonetheless, I say ok, and go to his protégés chair. The cut was a tough one. Can’t be mad at him, he’s only been cutting for 2 years, and he has to get reps somehow. I won’t say his name since he’s building clientele base still and brother is an all-around nice dude. Given the fact that I have light corners and wanted an expert to give me a valid cut, I’m disappointed.
Then I find out that the cut is $45 not $30 like the website said. Didn’t wanna spend an extra $10 on my beard after seeing how the hair turned out, so decided to call it wraps.
So: (1) the barber i booked with isn’t the one that I got. (2) the price I was told on the booking link isn’t the price I paid And (3) the cut I hoped for (one that accommodates my lightening corners) isn’t on par with what I got.
Re: (2) Anthony offered to give me back the difference but at that point I was so disappointed man. I’m not one to leave bad reviews but if I don’t how will things get better.
If I come back, I’ll return to edit this review.
Edit: his response proves my point lol. But that...
