I went to the store to buy a card and a paper bag. I was at the payment process and put my credit card password, then I saw on the computer screen "approved". The girl on the cashier said: "Your transaction is not finished, you need to pass your card again." I told her twice that I saw the transaction went ok and the card was approved. She said in a very rude way that she could not "let me go out the store with this" (the items) because the transaction was not finished. I called to my credit card in Brasil. There's always someone around to help you and the employees have all seemed genuinely friendly and happy to help....

I was ignored while there, I definitely needed help and there were not many other people in the store. I am a bit shy so I didnât seek help from a worker, completely my fault. The workers were, however, very prompt with other customers, so canât say I didnât feel a bit ignored. Not saying by any means that theyâre racist, but definitely a bit alienating for poc. But, thatâs just how La Jolla...
