Polish — Local services in San Diego

Went in today looking for a relaxing day off and I'm so sad to even be writing this. I've gone here a few time and always left happy but unfortunately that was not the case today. I'm actually crying while I write this. I wanted the popular Aura nails that have been viral and at the beginning of my appointment I showed a picture for reference asking if it was possible. The male nail tech told me he could do it and started on my nails. I will add I was indecisive and changed me color a few times but he was very patient. When it came time to add polish and do the aura design this is when things took a turn. He did his best but it unfortunately look horrible and I wasn't happy. I told him I'd rather take it off, leave the pink base and just add flowers to wrap it up since I had been there going on close to 2 hours. He attempted flowers and sad to say those were not good either.... messy, not even and the nails themselves look so lumpy. I stayed quiet bc at this point I was extremely discouraged and disappointed. When reaching the receptionist I asked if I could be honest and I told her I was extremely unhappy with my nails but didn't have anymore time to sit around to try and fix them... she offered to take off the price for the design but that was it... 125$ later and I came one and filed it all off myself. I added a pictures for reference. What I wanted vs what I left with. Normally not one to write reviews like this but having to still pay over 100$ and being this unhappy isn't sitting right with me. I went to this salon on 3/3/2019. The girl at the front desk was really nice and attentive. She took care of me and my cousin right away we were having a girls day. We couldnt sit together but the sat us across from wachother for our mani pedi. The lady taking care of me wasnt really talkative im used to the salon staff being talkative at other places. The only time she talked to me was to upgrade my package. Once i agreed to additional services she was quiet. I told her i wanted french tip she advised me it would be extra. I said it was fine. Before my services were over she said i needed to pay now. I didnt think anything of it. I paid. I noticed some of my tips werent even i asked her to fix them she did. She was trying to sell me on more services, i declined. I was waiting for my cousin to finish and the lady abandoned me at a drying station. That same day not even an hour after i left the french tips were chipping. I attempted to call and i wasnt getting through. On further inspection my cousin noticed her full set acrylic nails were different lengths on her thumbs and ring fingers. Overall bad customer service per the lady that did my nails. I cant express on my cousins behalf ill let her post her own review. But i paid a lil over $50 for mani pedi with callus scrub and my feet were not as soft as i had expected either. DO NOT I MEAN I REPEAT DO NOT GO TO THEM. MAKE SURE YOU GET AN ESTIMATE BEFORE YOU DECIDE ON GETTING THEM DONE YOU BETTER RECORD THEM. I CALLED AFTER I LEFT BECAUSE I REALIZED THEY OVERCHARGED ME. THEY KNEW I WAS VISITING AND LEAVING TOMORROM. THEY GAVE ME ONE PRICE AND THEN CHARGED ME A DIFFERENT AND LETS NOT TALK ABOUT THEM DOING A GOOD JOB ON ME AND MY DAUGHTER NAILS BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T. THE OWNER WANTED ME TO LEAVE THEM A REVIEW BASICALLY TOLD ME TO DO SO AFTER I TRIED TO GET SOME OF MY MONEY BACK. I WOULD Have GAVE A TIP BUT SHE SEEM TO HAVE ALREADY ADDED TO MY BILL. I ASK FOR Stiletto NAILS AND ASK THE LADY TO MAKE THEM POINTY. MY DAUGHTER ASKED FOR MORE JEWELS BECAUSE THATS WHAT WE PAYED FOR AND HAD TO ASK TO PUT MORE ON AND STILL DIDNT GET THAT.
