OX Coffee — Restaurant in San Diego

My husband and I love OX Coffee! By FAR the best quality coffee in Mission Valley. You get the sense that the people who work here actually care and know about coffee. The baristas are always so happy, friendly and helpful. The coffee itself is delicious every single time. I do wish they'd offer some more seasonal flavors because what they have is so good and I love a fancy coffee but I've had more pumpkin lattes than I can take between Fall and Winter :') That said, it is the best pumpkin latte you'll find in central San Diego. Really looking forward to their Valentine's special and I know their Spring/Summer menu will be as great as it was last year. The pastries are also yummy!

The coffee shop itself always smells like freshly roasted coffee beans when you walk in, and they're always roasting beans for the restaurants in the area. My only critique would be that the atmosphere feels a bit cold and sterile because everything is neutral and bright so it's not the comfiest place in the world, maybe some rugs or pillows would be nice? Love the plants everywhere though.

Loved that their beans are roasted in house. They have a basic menu but look around before you order because you’ll find seasonal menus located in the 8x10 frames along the counter and you’ll miss out like we did.

There was a spring menu and a summer menu that just started today for a limited time from 5/30-6/12.

We ordered from the basic menu in the tv screen. Got the iced strawberry matcha and flavored ice cinnamon latte.

Wow! First sip and you could taste the quality. The ceremonial matcha gave this grassy herbal note but too much sweetener was added for my liking. The espresso blend on the latte had a nice bitter Smokey nutty blend.

They sell coffee beans in unique flavor notes like blueberry, lychee, grape, chocolate, etc.

Small breakfast items and pastries offered on the go.

Oh and they have private classes to learn latte art, coffee tasting, pour over basics, cafe training, just to name a few.
