Located inside Catamaran Hotel, laid back tiki-themed grab and go coffee shop offering espresso drinks from local roaster and and assortment of pastries including bagels, croissants and muffins, which you may enjoy on patio near entrance of hotel, or order to go and enjoy at any number of tables in the lobby or in comfortable chairs that are near entrance of main restaurant Oceana. (You have to enter the hotel to place your order).
We had sweet tooth one night, and ordered New York cheesecake and strawberry compote together with beignets and fennel licorice flavored syrup. Having lived in New Orleans in my youth, I expected larger beignets (they are sold in pairs usually) and a lot more powdered sugar; however the beignets were not burned and still warm when they arrived in our room.
We enjoyed a lox and bagel with fruit medley and whipped cream on the last morning of our stay, together with split of champagne and orange juice for Mimosas. The lox portion and whipped cream was quite generous, and very filling.

Read moreAbsolutely horrible. Came down to get coffee at 8:30 am. The menu board was covered with butcher paper, so I thought maybe they were limited with their drink availability. So I asked the girl working what they had. She was so condescending in her reply, she clearly doesn’t belong in a customer-facing position. I ended up ordering a small latte and two small hot chocolates — it was $22 for those 3 items! The coffee was okay, the hot chocolates were lukewarm and watery. They also offered danish and breakfast items, each priced at $5.75+ each. Waters were $4. Obviously we expect a small premium for convenience but this was outrageous....

We were regular customers during our stay. Everyone we met was kind and pleasant.
It was nice to have an independent entity instead of the usual coffee conglomerate seen on every street corner.
I wish I would have taken photos but my need for caffiene superseeded any thoughts of photography!
