Personal Guide to Eating, Drinking, and Fun in San Diego

Gorgeous beach, clean, I loved the seaweed in the ground - looked very natural while other beaches tend to brush it out. Very busy though on Saturday afternoons and the ice cream/drink sellers only take cash or zelle. The reception is bad so bring cash! Had a great time though!

Clean and family friendly. The locals keep it clean, which is very nice. If you are troubled by the homeless, stay away. They are unavoidable in Pacific beach, but they also mind their own business and don’t pose a threat. I have been there Sep/27/2022.. I enjoyed the beach 🏖

Decent beach with a lot to do; skate or bike the boardwalk, play volleyball or roundnet, people watch, surf or swim, or just catch a few rays. The water is clean, so I always swim when I go there. It's pricey and a lot of the beachfront are rentals taken by tourists which is why I don't rate it higher. Decent bars and eateries, plenty of souvenir shops and bike/scooter rental places. You CANNOT consume alcohol on the beach there. It is very easy to get to on public transportation. Take the green or blue line to Old Town Station, then either the #8 or #30 buses. I prefer South Mission Beach which is a bit of a stroll down the boardwalk. The Bayside is more laid back and you can rent kayaks if you so desire. The library is really nice and it is located a few blocks off the beach on...

Every part of San Diego has its own unique vibe. If you’re in the mood for something a bit wild—crowds of young people partying, something quirky or unexpected—take the walk between Pacific Beach and Mission Bay. It’s a fun, lively hike where you’ll pass beautiful vacation rentals, stylish homes, and a parade of bikes, skateboards, and even local legends on roller skates.

One such legend is ‘Slomo,’ also known as Dr. John Kitchin. A retired neurologist, Slomo has become a fixture on the Pacific Beach boardwalk, gracefully gliding in slow motion on his rollerblades. His unique style and presence have made him a symbol of the area’s eclectic charm and a source of...

Most accessible & easy going beach arguably in SDiego, especially via public transpo. Beach is 1/2 block from various bust stops (30, 8 & 27). Start out early so you can slide into public or private parking, enjoy IHOP or Ralph's, make sure you caffienete @ Better Buzz Cafe (lavender matcha blended or zucchini muffin)...get fresh oatmeal bowl at Prosotea or snacks at 7Eleven. I adore Breakfast Republic but it is splurgey (kombucha/beer flights do add up!) and the local Juice Bar has great flavors but average is $12 for regular size.....

I usually stay close to Tower 25, more lifeguard more updates on water/ surf activity and better...
