This place is an unbelievable value and my only complaint is that their SEO and Ads didn't find me sooner. haha I had been looking for almost 3 months trying to find a gym I wanted to commit to. I tried out over a dozen across Downtown and up into the Hillcrest area and everywhere in between but every single one of them was what I felt... Incomplete when it came to amenities.
I was even looking at having to pick up two different gym memberships just to hit everything I wanted: Ice bath, Sauna, Steam Room, Towel Service, Free parking, Ample weight space/squat racks, Tanning, Boxing & Yoga. And this gym has all of them packed into a single membership. Plus it does all that with Ocean views and with several other things like Red light therapy sauna, upcoming Co-ed Sauna/steam rooms, and they're in the middle of building a sky deck on the 3rd floor for the most insane gym views you'll find anywhere... Insanity.
Anyway, Its worth every penny. If you're on the fence. Pull the trigger. It is the single greatest way you can improve your life with $110. Dont go to Fit. Its overpriced and offers less. Dont cheap out and go to EOS or Chuze. EOS is Hell on Earth and Chuze is a depressing dungeon. Care about your life. Seeing the ocean every day will make you happy. Also have I mentioned that every here is Insanely attractive?
Special note: The staff here are amazing. The guy at the front desk that knows the name of every single person that goes there is...

However, what brings my overall review down to 4/5 is the labeling of the equipment. Many machines are not labeled clearly—some are marked 1–20 (which doesn’t match actual weight in pounds or specify ), others are labeled 5–200 (possibly kilograms, but it’s not specified), and a few have both labels, yet the conversions don’t add up. This inconsistency makes it difficult to switch between machines. For example, even the four fly machines are all labeled differently.
As someone who travels for work and uses gyms across the country (around the world actually but not fair compassion outside of the US), this lack of standardization makes it hard to track progress. I mentioned it to the staff—some had an idea of the correct weight, while others weren’t sure about the same equipment. They have added labels to some of them since this but it’s just the number not a specific metric (like pounds or kg) which makes me wonder if it was test before they put the number on.
However, if you’re the type of person that only goes to one gym + doesn’t travel and can just keep track of the equipment at the one gym you’re using then it wouldn’t be an issue. I will add to this I am not an extreme gym bro just an avg guy lol so take it for what it means but I notice...

If you’re visiting the San Diego beaches and looking to keep your workout routine in tact, chances are real good you’ll find what you’re looking for here. I was visiting for the Labor Day weekend (2025) and wanted a place with Concept2 RowErg rowing machines. This place had five, all with PM5 monitors, as well as some SkiErgs. They had two floors, upper floor is partly open air with turf, great for stretching. While I did my fourth five minute session, I noticed craftsmen in the process of installing four ‘ice plunge’ tubs/tanks. That’ll be interesting for those so inclined. I opted for the $35 daily drop-in fee since I’m only here three days. Just slightly cheaper than the $125 weekly membership for visitors which is a great deal. The men’s locker room had good, hot and clean showers with towels. Also sauna rooms which I also used after my workout and stretching. Right in the heart of Pacific Beach. (I don’t go to public gyms too often, but it was amazing to see so many young women parading around, but it seemed a small percentage actually doing any meaningful working out.) Highly recommend this place. Sorry I didn’t take more pics, but I do feel it’s not right to take pics while people are doing...
