This is one of my favorite places in the San Diego area! I love the opportunity to see and hear all the wildlife in their home! However, the last time I was here, there were many people not giving the Seals and Sea Lions the space and respect they deserve. It made me sad seeing people disrespect their area and worried that if this kind of behavior continues that the area will get shut down to the public. There are numerous warnings to stay back and not get close, yet many couldn't resist the urge to crowd around a mother seal and her pup. One girl had the audacity to go pet the pup! Not only can this behavior cause you to get bit or attacked, but you also risk making the sealife sick with your potential contamination of germs. Please go enjoy this area because it is worth it - it is very beautiful and peaceful, but please stay back and be respectful to the wildlife so the rest of us can continue to enjoy it for years to come!...

My daughter says this was her favorite thing about...
