With only having a few brief days in San Diego, everyone insisted La Jolla cove was a great place to visit and the Sea Lion area was something to check out, too. It didn’t disappoint. The breeze felt amazing there and with the weather in the upper 70s it wasn’t too warm either for August.

The Sea Lions were adorable and playful and just a lot of fun to sit and watching for a while.

The area around the Rookery is very hilly but it’s manageable. There are park public restrooms...

Point La Jolla is an excellent spot for a scenic walk with beautiful views. There's limited shade, so keep that in mind, and the area has a slight fishy smell due to the sea lions. However, watching the sea lions, pelicans, and other birds is truly amazing. There's also a large garden area where kids can play and run freely. Public restrooms are available, although parking can sometimes be a bit challenging. Visiting in the morning helps avoid crowds for a more...
