ABSOLUTELY AH-MAZING!

For a while I’ve been looking for a place that did medicupping. I actually didn’t know what it was called, but I had done the procedure while living in LA. I did it for a friend’s wedding to help me slim down and I remember I was obsessed with the results. I am a very active person, I am professional dancer and fitness instructor. But my genetics don’t work on my favor as far as cellulite goes. So now that I live in San Diego I’ve been asking around where to find this treatment and what it was called, and I was told that what I was looking for was called a “Lymphatic massage”. I have always heard here in the states that Lymphatic massages are relaxing, and this treatment I got in LA, though fabulous, was NOT RELAXING! It gave me slimming results, but by no means it put me to sleep while doing it. I found a few places that are Brazilian owned (I am Brazilian), since I know the Brazilian lymphatic massage is different. I was a bit disappointed because it was all manual, not the cups I have been looking for. Then I found COVE WELLNESS! I read and re-read their website.. could it be? Did I finally find those miracle cups? YES! I did! I got the SIGNATURE PACKAGE for my first visit. It begins it a sauna treatment in a Jade-covered Sauna bed. You can stay in it for up to 1 hour, which I did!! Supposedly you can burn up to 600 calories in 30 minutes (varies for everyone). I fell asleep in it! It was so relaxing, and you don’t overheat, though it does get warm. Ah! Just delicious! Then I did 90 minutes of the famous medicupping. As the tech began the procedure, I was wondering if it was going to be the same as I experienced in LA. It wasn’t… It was better! The tech hit every lymphatic spot in my body with two different treatments, and it was the coolest thing I have experienced in a spa! Then she went on to my trouble area: butt and thighs. Those little cups really have a suction to them! It was EXACTLY what I was looking for and better! Then I ended the treatment with a Colon Hydrotherapy, and Lisa was fabulous. She took such good care of me, as it can be an awkward and uncomfortable experience. But her expertise overcame it all. Its genius! The SAUNA BED heats up your body, relaxes your muscles, gets your body ready for the suction treatment. the MEDICUPPING wakes up the lymphatic system and get things flowing and moving. and the COLON HYDROTHERAPY flushes out what your lymphatic system has released. At the end of my Signature Treatment I obviously bought a package and will be attending Cove Wellness more and more. I am very excited I found this place. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT, to say the least! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lisa and Cove Wellness! My sister is the one who found this special wellness spa, desperate for something to help relieve her discomfort from multiple health issues. While I do no have any major health issues, I had been curious about getting a colonic for about three years and I am so glad I waited until I found out about this place! First of all, the space is intimate and clean. The owner, Lisa, is a beautiful soul who truly cares about every single person who walks in her door. She is not one of those business tycoon-types simply trying to make a quick buck off of a wellness trend. She has been in the industry for over 30 years and has done extensive research on every service offered and on every piece of machinery used.

I have tried out several of their services: the coffee colonic, the foot bath, the lymphatic medicupping, and the lymphatic medicupping facial. I would go back for any one of those in a heart beat and they are all worth the price. Ashlyn, who does the medicupping, is a lovely woman, very respectful and very good at her job. She does not just go through the motions, she gives each treatment and each client a luxurious and relaxing experience. I walked out of that treatment feeling lighter and clearer immediately.

As for the colonics—while anyone who has gotten one (or anyone who is afraid to) knows that they are not the most comfortable experience, Cove Wellness and its technicians outshine anywhere else. Their machine is a closed system, which means it’s very safe and very good. Though it may not look too fancy with the simple tubes and knobs, it’s designed to do exactly what you need it to do during the colonic. Anyone who thinks it’s not state-of-the-art enough clearly hasn’t gotten many colonics and probably has a lot more toxins to release from their body!

While there was a period of time where there was a lot of technician turn-over (and one of my favorite technicians sadly moved away!), I can confidently say that Lisa curates her team of technicians and ultimately has chosen and trained an all-star staff. Lisa herself even does some treatments once in a while and it’s clear she has an unmatched expertise and knowledge in this field that she shares with her team.

I’ve been searching for months for a place here in San Diego knowing that I shouldn’t have to travel all the way to LA to get this treatment done and low and behold I found Cove Wellness in La Jolla! And I am so glad I did! I suffered 3 miscarriages this year and felt it was time to do anything I can to clear everything out of of my body that doesn’t belong in it to give myself the best chances of hopefully creating a healthy environment for a baby to thrive in. Upon arrival I was lucky to have the pleasure of meeting the owner Lisa who had just gotten back from a 3 week vacation! Lisa is the kindest woman. She was extremely informative and educated me on the process of ElectroLymphatic Drainage and put me at ease. I watched a 3 minute video explaining the entire procedure and the benefits of the therapy. I started with the Infrared Jade Sauna. That was a treat! I feel asleep like a baby while the warmth of the sauna penetrated through my body to start the flow of the lymph fluid. I was then brought into another room where Samantha greeted me and started the ElectroLymphatic Drainage. Samantha was extremely kind and also very informative. She explained the process every step of the way. I added the Liver and Gallbladder detox as well and with that came an amazing reflexology session that made me melt like buttuh on the massage table! When my session with Samantha ended I was handed over to Katie, Cove Wellness’s ColonHydroTherapist. My colon hydrotherapy session at Cove Wellness was the best I have ever received.
