Staples sent 2 emails to two classmates, each email verifying their new business cards were complete and ready for pickup at 8:30, a half hour before they closed this evening. These two classmates have a trip planned, early tomorrow morning, to Los Angeles, where there's a great opportunity for them to distribute their new business cards and drum up some business for their small businesses. I volunteered to drop by Staples to pick up both boxes of business cards. Upon arrival, however, I was told that despite the official emails stating that both sets of the business cards were ready for pickup, only one of the two boxes of business cards was actually ready for pick up. I asked how long it'd take to get the late cards printed, and I was told 45 minutes. I said I'd wait, since it was important. But that offer never came. I was told that since they were only a half hour from closing, they'd complete the second set of business cards tomorrow, but wouldn't even commit to a morning pickup time. If it'd been a Mom-&-Pop printing company, they'd have probably gone past closing time to ensure that both classmates had their cards for the big opportunity in the morning. No, that wasn't offered. Then, upon delivering the business cards that_were_finished on time to one of the classmates, it was apparent that the cards were incorrect, and unusable. What's UP, Staples? Strike two! I was so disappointed with the failure of the Staples store to get EITHER of the jobs done right. One star is too many. Poor quality work on the first order, and late delivery for a job they'd erroneously emailed as...
Read moreI stopped in to print a simple 8.5x11 piece of paper to create a little sign for a showcase display today. I approached Jonathan in the print department which turned out to be a huge let down. He basically informed me that they now have a 24hr (not listed online) turn around policy for any project and he handed me a self-printout card directional. This card guided me to use machines that accept card only (I wanted to pay with cash). I asked for help hoping to see if I could pay cash, and Jonathan said one second as he helped the next customer in line that was picking up a large order. I was obviously forgotten about. I asked the front desk for a manager to see if could get some help and the manager guided me to the self-help machine again. Jonathan obviously wanted to make it look like he was doing a good job to his boss, so he walked over to assist further informing the manager that ârush projectsâ (I wasnât aware I had a rush project) were not going to be taken on today.
Because of the attitude presented by Jonathan, Iâve decided to leave for Kinkos to help me elsewhere, and hereâs my ONE STAR review in response to this poor customer...
Read moreThis has been the poorest customer service that I have ever received for printing services. I needed four word documents printed in color, with four copies each, and two ID's copied front and back. I've had this exact service done at a different Staples location and the OfficeMax off River Run, never taking longer than twenty minutes (even while assisting other customers). I type this review as I've already been sitting here for over an hour. Not sure what is taking so painstakingly long or why I wasn't notified up front that it was going to take so long. The young man that originally helped me went on lunch shortly after asking how I could be helped today. The high school girl he left behind even admitted to another customer that she's not "technologically savvy", then why was she in charge of printing services? I pretty much has to wait for him to get back from lunch, but no one felt the need to value my time. I will never return to this location. Trust me, if I had space for a color printer in my apartment, I would have loved to do it myself. I should have just waited for the OfficeMax to change their...
