I'm very happy that they expanded to Rancho Bernardo. It's closer to my work and home when compared to their Sorrento Valley location. The RB location is bigger, brighter, and roomier.
I went to many other massage places before finding Thai Sport Bodyworks. Most other massage places do not care about your body and give you the same genetic massage they give everyone else. More personalized massage franchises have terrible business models/payment policies. I would know because I used to be a member of a well known massage franchise, but ended my membership after paying for months which I did not need a massage.
Which brings me to this place and Lawani. I found Lawani after I sprained my right shoulder in 2013. I had a lot of aches and pain when moving it. I couldn't believe how much better my shoulder felt after the initial visit. It felt like I finally got my shoulder back. Then a few months down the road, I pulled my hamstring which caused sciatica. I was doing physical therapy for the hamstring/sciatica, but I truly believed it was a combination of a chiropractor's adjustments and Lawani's massages that finally cured the sciatica. The Kaiser physical therapy was a waste of money.
I'm very happy that I found Lawani. I bring myself in and pay only when my body needs maintenance. Gone are the days when I paid for a generic massage. Also, gone are the days when I used to pay a monthly massage subscriptions to a massage franchise. Now I pay for great massages only when I need them. I have recommended this place to my friends and co-workers.
I'm so happy to have known Lawani since the time she used to be located inside of a small gym, but now they have 2 locations! New location, same...
Read moreTheir deep wave treatment is worth it! The results are priceless; they even helped with some gastrointestinal issues I was hanging. All of the massage therapists I’ve seen have done a good job.
Deep wave is expensive, you have to go a few times a week, and the treatment itself is hard. But the staff are great at pushing you to and through it. Before, it hurt to do basic tasks like move a tea kettle or take down my shower curtain to wash it. I rarely have pain now and I only have residual muscle tension left. I feel so much better.
The therapists and staff generally do a good job of making sure you get the right treatment for you. There are clothed massages and draped massages. Both are relaxing and help loosen up muscles. Therapists can do both deep and gentle pressure.
You earn a lot of points on deep wave, but you can only use them on treatments like massages. I found the 30 minute stretch a great add on after the deep wave, but it’s not as relaxing since you have to do things.
Thai Sport accepts FSA cards and regularly runs specials.
The music is a little weird because sometimes I recognize it as an instrumental version of a song I know, but most of the time it’s unobtrusive.
They have water and sometimes ginger tea. The bathroom is outside in the complex and requires a key. There are cupboards for your stuff in the rooms.
There is an elevator or several stairwells to get up to the second floor. Closest bike rack is at McDonald’s. Come early and hang out by...
Read moreIf you have ever questioned yourself: "Do I really need a massage?" Yes, you do. At Thai Sport Bodyworks, By Jane, Zasha or Jaylynn. Jane's the Best. This place is fantastic. All tightness gets loosened. I can't say enough great things about Jane. She has strong pressure and fixes my whole body, especially my sore hamstrings, feet and knots in my neck and beck. Jane has excellent medium and soft touch skills. Depending on what part of your body needs work (and Jane will know if you don't know) Jane adjusts the pressure level to fit your needs.
Jane mastered her craft. Jane retrains herself regularly, attending high-level massage skill-perfection courses that directly translate to a WIN-WIN for your body.
I go every Monday for a couple of hours. Monday is now my favorite day of the week. The treatment makes you feel real good while eliminating pain.
If Jane is not available, ask for Zasha. Zasha is 99.9% Jane. Awesome. Zasha is a fundamentally flawless healer and always a real joy to see.
I used to think I only need to see Jane until today when I saw Karlynn who made me feel so limber. For a guy who never stretches she found all my pressure points and loosened me up in the fastest 2 hours ever.
When I went back to Karlynn, I was mesmorized by such pure bliss and corrective pressures. I found myself falling asleep (and snoring, LOL) more than ever.
All three have outstanding personalities and really care about you...
