I was on a birthday weekend trip and my husband told me to locate a spa of my choosing. I was searching different spas at resorts and was not to thrilled about. How drastically high the prices were. My husband threw out the idea of simply searching for spas and within minutes I found Wellness Spa. I reviewed the menu and loved what they offered and their prices were fantastic. Looked at a few reviews and was impressed with what their clientele had said regarding the facility and staff. Used their online booking system and it was so easy to book my service which was the Dream getaway. A wonderful combination of a facial and a massage.
The next day as I’m making my way over to the spa but run into traffic. I call to let them know I’ll be late. They said no problem and we will see you soon. As I arrive I am greeted by the front desk receptionist Olivia who was very welcoming and warm upon meeting. Olivia gave me a tour of the facility and walked me through their amenities and showed me my locker that had slippers, a robe and a treat for me. Want to point out their lockers are very easy to use . I go to the waiting area and I am right away greeted by my esthetician Carla. We walk into the room which was clean, had great soft lightening, smelled excellent and the bed was very comfortable along with a heating pad.
My esthetician Carla was so welcoming and would check in during the massage to make sure the pressure was acceptable and I was doing well also. Carla also asked where I had the most pressure and made sure to focus in those spots. As we finished the massage, Carla gave me a few minutes to get ready for the facial. As Carla came back in we just began talking and honestly it was like I was meeting a friend for a catch up sesh. Only thing we were missing was something to sip on haha. Carla even asked about my facial routine and gave me tips as well. Again I booked the 60 minute Dream Getaway package but do yourself a favor and book the 90 minute! It was worth every penny.
Please do yourself the favor and visit the Wellness Spa if you are needing a relaxing day to treat yourself. You can tell all the staff truly take pride in what they do!

Read moreTried to arrive early for a massage so we could use the steam room and facilities and they were just getting things going at 11am. Nothing was ready for us. We were asked to come back in 30 minutes. By the time we returned, checked in and were given the tour and changed it was just about time for our appointment. The massage was meh. I get them regularly, love a deep tissue and always get them on vacation so I’ve had a lot of experience and the one I had here wasn’t the worst one I’ve had, but it was close. The therapist came to get me 5 mins late and ended 5 mins early. After the massage I was encouraged to use the steam room but couldn’t bring myself to go in because it smelled of mildew and mold and upon further inspection I saw black mold growing in the corners and the tile grout. (Gross!) Last at checkout I was informed gratuity was automatically charged at 20%. I’m happy to tip and actually will tip higher for a job really well done but when that choice is taken from me, that is a red flag and telling that the service is poor and they have to make it automatic or they’ll not get tipped. I did not feel that the Deep Dive Detox Wrap (mud wrap) was worth $270. The treatment was $235 plus a mandatory 6% surcharge to cover the CA minimum wage increase and a mandatory 20% tip. I was given slippers that were too small, and then offered slippers that were 3 maybe 4 sizes too big. I expected my skin to feel refreshed and hydrated after the treatment; I did not notice a change. With any type of detox, keeping hydrated is essential; I was never told to “stay hydrated”.
