Vacation Isle Park — Attraction in San Diego

My friends and I bought a sandwich up the coast a mile or two and then realized we couldn't find anywhere to park. We drove down south a little bit and found this place, pulled off and decided to give it a shot for eating our sandwiches. The picnic tables in the shade were all taken, so we sat in the grass and ate in the shade. Highly recommend this place for a quick picnic.

They have plenty of space for family or events, a great pond for miniature boats, boardwalk for walking and bike rides, fishing in Mission Bay, fire pits, plenty of shady trees or open green grass areas, great views and loads of serenity (double dose).

Great, quiet & relatively uncrowded, model yacht pond for sporting a blanket & throwing a picnic. Most of the time that you're relaxing, there are only model sailboats, maybe a violinist, & children/parents on bikes. Sometimes there are those with model speedboats which seems to defeat the purpose of the place as they're really noisy but great for those who are hyperactive.
