Wow, what a place. If you like Ventura, but not driving north, check this place out. I thought is was part of a miniaturized module of the county, it has it all even one grape vine for the wineries. But if Ventura county isnt your place, but former childhood and current hero and role model, cage fighter, govenor and friend of the truth Jesse "the body" Ventura, is, well if you look west towards the setting and blink really fast the stare at the ground under the gazebo, you can clearly see the man himself givving you a double dose of thumbs up. 10 outta 5 stars. I would never leave this place if i wasnt forced to. The police come and trash my camp from time to time but im usually here, come say hi, it gets lonely sometimes and itsbtough when its just me and "the body" when hes always has to be right and will not take no for an answer....says nobody likes the negative attitude and to remember how lucky i am to have him around then throws all his...

One homeless tent up with solar walkway lights and a make shift fire ring. He had bicycles and a mattress out on one of the benches. The landscape maintenance people had just mowed the grass and mowed right around the encampment. He obviously has been there quite awhile. Was there until about 9:30p and campers started showing up and homeless riff raff. What a disappointment that this is not addressed and cleaned up. The mens bathroom at the east end was filthy and only one of three lights was working. Cars were parked in the fire lane . Felt very unsafe. What a mess. The gates are supposed to lock down at 10 p but I didn’t stick around. I would give it zero stars if I was able and would not recommend going down there towards the...

Wide flat sand for Grandad and Grammy to set up, and a extended area with shallow water and no waves for the kids to wade and play, hauling buckets back to build sand castles. Make sure to check the tide schedule to avoid having to move your beach chairs too often!
Pack food and/or enjoy all the delicious local options along Mission Blvd in Mission Beach, or in Marina Village on the other side of West Mission Bay...
