Sunset Point Park is on Mission Bay next to The Dana Hotel and SeaWorld San Diego. We visited this place on May 25, 2018, during our first San Diego trip. It’s a nice and relaxing place. There is a sandy shoreline here complete with fire pits for evening bonfires, but the sand and water are separated by a protective rock wall. This makes Sunset Point better for picnics and taking a walk instead of swimming and playing in the bay. There are picnic tables, fire rings, restrooms and a path for jogging or bike riding. The street is narrow and there is parking along the street only. There is one parking lot for the beach but it is small, maybe 10 cars. If that.
