Horrible horrible experience all around. I came here in June for a general inspection/maintenance before moving cross country. No problems that needed repair, just oil change, tire rotation, filter changes, fluid top offācost $650. They wanted to change my brake fluid for an extra $500 but I said I would wait until next time. 3 weeks later I am getting ready to move. My windshield washer fluid is already out despite them saying they topped it off. Iām driving to goodwill when every warning light comes on at the same time ācheck engine, check brakes, check power steering, check tire pressureā¦ā Freaking out since I have less than 24 hours before I drop off my car to be shipped. I come back to SF Honda to investigate. They say this likely has nothing to do with my recent service and it was just bad luck the warnings came on so soon after my first visit. I drop it off for 7 hours and then get a call to come pick it up. The problem was my oil filter was reinstalled incorrectly the first time I came in and oil had been slowly dripping out since then. I then here someone ask āhave you broken the news to her yet?ā. While they had my car Sergio was driving around the block and got into an accident.
Summary: I brought my car here before my move, trying to be responsible and make sure everything was in order before I moved. I was grossly overcharged. A mistake from the first time I came caused oil to slowly drip for weeks and all my car warnings to flash on When I brought my car back, the staff got into an accident with it
I know this was a series of bad luck and likely not anyoneās fault, but my biggest complaint was how this was handled. Sergio in particular was very rude and unprofessional. He did not explain the details of what happened, he did not show me the damage to my car, and he was very upset with me when I asked him to write up and print out a report of what happened for my records. He told me he was a nice guy trying to help me but he was neither of those things. He instructed me bring my car to a body shop and email him with the quote with no explanation of next steps from there or how I would be compensated or reimbursed.
Now after I move the first thing Iāll need to do if find a body shop and continue to fight with San Francisco Honda to reimburse me.
In short, please donāt ever go here. If you need a Honda Dealership choose Anderson Honda in Palo...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI hate to post this but I must. I have taken my car to Honda Service Centers for 20 years, but that ends after today. Devron, my service assistant yesterday told me that my Accord was due for a $500+ major service & I said fine. Later in the day, he called me & said that the inspection showed that my car (67,000 miles) required a resealing of the timing case cover. I asked him how how much I would owe & he asked: Do you want a break-down or the total cost of your bill? I replied, āGive me the total cost.ā He replied: $2300+. I was taken aback but okād the resealing. He said my car would be ready at 6 p.m. When I told him I would probably pick it up in the morning, he said he would give me a courtesy call to let me know it was ready. That call never came. When I called in the morning to make sure the car was ready, I repeatedly got Devronās answering machine. When I showed up at the service center this morning, I was presented with a bill of $2900+ā$600 more than Devron quoted me the previous evening. He did give me a paltry morning $200 discount, but he would not take responsibility nor apologize. The labor for this service was $2492!!! if the mechanics worked for 8 hours, that works out to $300+/hour!!! Are you willing to play that much to have your car serviced? This is the first time I felt GOUGED by Honda with misinformation & unreliability. I will not be taking my car back to the Folsom Street service center. There are so many quality places to get your car serviced in San Francisco. Think hard and long before you trust your car to these folks. š³

Ā Ā Ā Read moreAVOID GOING TO SF HONDA SERVICE CENTERS! Itās not just that they charge 30% more than other mechanics, they are inept.
Unfortunately, Iāve had several disappointing and upsetting experiences in a row with two separate Honda service locations in S.F.: the Marina and 9th & Irving St.
Some of the issues include: Damaging one TPMS (sensor) and keeping my car for five days while they āwaited for the partā (Marina)
Not tightening my spark plugs after a major service, which cost me $300 later when my car was shuttering while idling (Marina)
Not thoroughly evaluating damage to my rims after a car accident (3 of my rims ended up needing replacement), though I specifically requested an inspection on a lift. Instead, they replaced one tire (on the one rim that wasnāt damaged), and ādidnāt noticeā that my front tire was flat and my low tire pressure icon was on. I drove around the block and had to return for the inspection I originally requested. (9th & Irving)
Returned to find out why my TPMS light was on, only to be told it would cost me $295 to inspect that (which I stupidly paid) only to then be told yet ANOTHER sensor was damaged, most likely by their mechanic when they replaced my rims.
Total cost financially: over $2000 Total cost emotionally: a hell of a lot of stress and a lot of wasted time
And I still have to go to another mechanic and pay to have my damaged TPMS...
