I was referred to Dr. Wei for a very complicated dental picture. I was having lingering pain from a restoration procedure done by a general dentist. The pain lasted over a year and the restoration didn’t look that great. I was quite miserable and frustrated. In that span of a year or so, I had several dentist appointments. I saw an endodontist several times as well. Nothing really seemed to work. After several bite adjustments, repeat root canals, an apicoectomy (yikes), I was still having pain. I honestly thought I was just going to have to live with this forever.
Then I was referred to Dr. Wei. I could tell right away that she was very knowledgeable and caring. She took time to explain what was going on with my teeth in detail. She mapped out a plan to correct not only the pain I was having, but to greatly improve the aesthetic of the restoration as well.
I felt confident in Dr Wei’s assessment, but part of me still remained skeptical of whether the plan would work after a year of failed dental interventions.
Dr. Wei was able to determine the cause of the pain (dental cement lodged under the gums from the initial restoration procedure and a bulky restoration affecting the bite). No other dentist had found the dental cement stuck under my gums, and this was after nearly a year of seeing multiple dentists. Four, to be exact.
After a few visits, the work was complete. The pain is nearly gone and the restoration looks and feels so much better than the previous one. Dr. Wei really saved my teeth. I am so grateful that I found her.
I don’t leave a ton of reviews, but this one was very well earned. I highly recommended Dr. Wei. If you have a complicated dental picture or simply want great restorative dental...
Read moreDr. Wei and her staff are, in a word, outstanding. Our family has seen her for, among regular care, dental implant crowns, root canals, crown replacement, cavities and other services. She is the full package: warm, approachable, clear, with explanations of treatment options, respectful of patients' time, attentive to family budgets, incredibly hardworking, perfectionistic in her work, capable of collaborating with other practices, and confident in her plan. We have had many dentists/medical practices over the years, and she and her colleagues stand out as being unusually professional, honest about treatment issues, transparent about billings/insurance issues, knowledgeable about approaches and just about everything else. Over the course of family members' various treatments, she: opened her office on a non-working day to treat my daughter; collaborated successfully with a busy, opinionated oral surgeon; put our minds at ease when challenges came up; and maintained a high level of confidence and leadership that helped us feel secure in her skills and professionalism. Bonus: her front office is excellent, making appointment-setting and billing matters a breeze. Highly recommend for both regular dental care and more...
Read moreSimply put, Ann Wei is the best. When my dentist retired, I wrote to Ann explaining in detail my situation and expectations. She replied addressing my specific questions within two hours. At my first appointment, she herself did the cleaning! I am very particular about my teeth. I have three dentists: a general dentist, a periodontist, and an endodontist (when needed). I alternate quarterly cleanings/checkups between the dentist and the periodontist. As a child I had five extractions and extensive teeth straightening. As an adult I’ve had root canals, crowns and three implants. So I think I can say from experience that Ann is the finest practitioner I have ever met. Recently she replaced a implant tooth where the retaining screw broke (coincidentally, she lectured the next day at UCSF on the problem). The new tooth Ann made was perfect in shape, size, color and fit. Ann is warm and very personable. Her office and equipment are state-of-the art and her staff are very friendly and helpful. As I told Ann, I count myself very lucky to have found Ann and to have been accepted in her practice....
