Amorino Gelato first originated in Europe and has brought their Italian gelato flavors to the US. I had the pleasure of going to Grant Ave. location in San Francisco, CA which is near Chinatown. They are known for their signature gelatos that are shaped in the prettiest flowers you have ever seen topped with a macaron! I got to try their classic size gelato flower with the flavors being pistachio, strawberry, and mango topped with a blueberry cheesecake macaron. They only do take-out only and the place does its very best to follow the COVID safety procedures. So I got the flavor combination of strawberry, mango, and pistachio. Overall, I chose a really great flavor combination for my gelato. I can really taste the strawberry and mango flavor very well and one flavor does not overtake another flavor. I thought it was really delicious and would really go back for more. I liked the pistachio too however, I wish there were more of the pistachio nuts (yes there were some but not a lot I did taste) to give the pistachio flavor to stand out more and also for texture too. I did taste pistachio however it wasn’t as dominant as the strawberry and mango flavors. The blueberry cheesecake was perfect to the taste however it was a bit too soft for my liking because when I tried to pick it up, it immediately cracked so be careful with your macarons! Overall, this place serves really delicious gelato and the staff was super kind to me. I would definitely check this place out when you can because this is the real deal gelato you're witnessing right here!

Spotted this little spoonful of heaven while out exploring the city. There was a small line but took only minutes to get inside where we were immediately greeted and were able to feast our eyes on the delicious flavors of possibilities. The line to the left ushers you to the cashier where you can pick your choice of cup or waffle cones for your gelato, various drinks, macarons, pastries, & more. After selecting your items, you then proceed to the counter of flavors where you get to sample and create your very own unlimited options for your chosen gelato cup or cone. The servers were super friendly and even created a beautiful flower of flavors for me. I tried many flavors before deciding on blueberry cheesecake & vanilla for my cone and my brother tried salted caramel & vanilla for his cup. My favorite was the blueberry. The sitting area are cozy tables with various stools and cubes to sit on as well as some tables with booth seating that were very welcoming and clean. My brother and I also feasted on macaroons which did not disappoint; pistachios, chocolate, & blueberry cheesecake were our choices. My favorite was the pistachio. I also ended up taking a half pint to go of three flavors (you have unlimited choice of flavors to go as well). They gelato is organic and the restaurant also offer vegan menu selections. I highly recommend you stop in and treat yourself.

We visited the Amorino store in San Francisco and were very disappointed with the experience. As soon as we walked in, the staff looked tired and unmotivated. When we asked a few questions, they responded with impatience and seemed annoyed. I was ordering macarons and had clearly told the staff the flavors I wanted while he was entering them into the POS. Then out of nowhere, he said, “I don’t remember what you said.” Really? My friend ordered a gelato with 10 different flavors. The staff member just stood there listening without saying anything, so he thought he was keeping track. After he finished listing them, he said, “I can’t remember — can you repeat them one by one?” Why not just say that from the beginning? To make things worse, we saw a cockroach crawling in the corner of the store. That was the last straw. Poor service and questionable hygiene — definitely not what we expected from a brand like Amorino.
