Budget Car Rental — Local services in San Francisco

I initially booked a mid-sized SUV with Budget for our trip to the US, but the car was much smaller than expected, and we couldn’t fit our luggage. With four people, that was my mistake for not double-checking the size. At first, one of the staff members wasn’t helpful, but then a Hungarian gentleman stepped in. He was incredibly kind and friendly, going above and beyond to upgrade us to a larger vehicle. Thanks to him, our trip, which we’d been planning for a year, was saved!

The upgraded car was great—no hidden costs, no limits, and the rental process was smooth with no long formalities. Dropping off the car at LAX was also a breeze. Budget's simple drop-off process was quick and efficient, with no wasted time. Plus, the shuttle bus service to the airport is excellent. While I think that Budget has a lot they can do technologically to catch up with 2015, this particular location is very friendly, efficient, and the entire checkout and return experience was quite pleasant. Sure, the bathroom could be nicer, but overall, I like this rental location more than any other that I've ever used (especially airports).

The value for the price was good but there were few aspects that could be better. I have ordered Full Size car but it could barely fit 2 large and 2 cabin pieces of luggage, I had to literally force it and push it it every single time. I was hoping to get an upgrade for the car with the proper trunk size, but nothing was offered. The staff couldn't give me proper papers and keys two times, as they were confused with two same make and models in the garage which was annoying.
