HEYTEA (Downtown Metreon) — Restaurant in San Francisco

I was initially excited to try the Cloud Mango drink and other Matcha Lattes at this HeyTea location. The ambiance looked bright inside, but unfortunately this location does not offer dairy alternatives. Consequently, I felt disappointed and had to forego trying HeyTea's Cloud Mango or Matcha Lattes. Since HeyTea does not have almond or soy milk options, I had to go to another authentic but more inclusive boba shop down the block. In order to accommodate customers with dietary restrictions, please add dairy alternatives such as Almond Milk and Soy Milk to your menu items.

Would definitely go back- so many other flavors I want to try! My friend insisted we had to go to this specific boba place- not any other- so we walked over 30 minutes to get there and it didn’t disappoint. I wanted to get the guava flavor that was being advertised but sadly they had sold out. I ended up getting the mango grapefruit boom but heads up on that- it was just a mango drink- the only hint of grapefruit was a bit of grapefruit pulp in it. Still enjoyed because I like mango but a bit misleading with the title.

I understand that it was the grand opening, so the long wait was expected, but I didn’t anticipate an additional 45-minute wait after ordering when it was stated to be 10 minutes. When I finally received my drinks after asking, both were melted. While I recognize that opening day can be chaotic, given the price and my overall experience, I’m hesitant to return at the moment.
