The instructor could have been more polite when she informed (after the class) that listening to your own preferred music and responding to emergency texts is not allowed at CorePower.
1: I know, obviously texting is a no-no. But I was in the darkest back corner as far back as you can go, hiding my phone while responding to emergency texts. In retrospect, I should have left the room to do so. when a customer makes a mistake, you can inform them about your strict policy in a NICE way. I wasnāt informed about any strict policies when I signed up at CorePower.
2: when the music chosen by the instructor sucks (some kind of rnb background noise was playing) I can either leave the class (I should have done that) or slip in my airpods.
I didnāt argue with her, and I assured her that she should not take it personally.
After my experience with yoga instructor DeAnna, I did not feel like signing up for another month at CorePower again. Such a shame, because had she been nice I would have paid for another month on the spot.
But she probably has a point; even though I can afford more than they charge, I am probably not the best CorePower customer, because I prefer the amenities (warm studio) over following the instructor, because if the instructor is having a bad day, I am very sensitive to it, and I am not a good follower to a āleaderā (Yoga instructor) who is not giving off their best energy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI usually go to this studio as a ClassPass member and have been there about 3-4 times. I reached the studio at 8.01 and the front desk lady saw me and just walked away, while locking the door on me. I kept knocking the door to let me in but she had gone into the studio. I kept knocking and then she returned around 8.08 saying sheās not allowed to open the door and I was shocked because this has never happened to me before. She said the instructor came in at 8.05 so she cannot open the door. How does that make any sense? Infact there was more time for me to get in and settle in while the instructor started her class. Really disappointed and annoyed as it was a 8 am class. Never going into this studio again. I also had a weird experience with one of the instructors here, where she kept pointing at me constantly that was I wasnāt doing the moves right, and it was my first time attending her class. But I didnāt think much of it at the time because every instructor is different and itās fine. Ofcourse I wouldnāt get it right but I tried really hard and completed it. Anyways, Iāve not had a good experience with this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAre all the instructors fantastic? Absolutely and thatās pretty much all that really matters! thank u for keeping my third eye wide open.
Is the new morning schedule (615/630am) life-changing? 100%. I suspect the only people who consistently paid to go at 545am were a strong minority of super-humans and/or sociopaths. On the other end of the spectrum was 7/715am, which was great...for the equally rare, mythically chill folk who can roll into work at a soft 10 and be fully cool about it.
Is it the nicest Corepower studio in the world? No, the rooms are windowless beige boxes but that is ok. Even though some people say the fluorescent lights in there ādrain the soulā, those people obviously have...
