Employees were aggressive and even xenophobic.
I found a seat and was testing the wifi before buying a coffee to stay for a couple of hours. When I asked for the wifi password, they said they couldn't tell me. Fine, I bought the coffee first and then got the wifi password (understandable).
I tried connecting my computer and phone, but the wifi wasn't connecting in either devices so I asked for help to employee 1 (woman). I asked for help asking "Hi, is the wifi working? It's not connecting on my devices." She glared at me and got super defensive saying it's working and everyone is using it that it should be my problem. I had just shown her my phone that wasn't connecting. I said ok let me try again, so I restarted my phone and connected it. It worked this time. I relayed to her in a friendly manner that it worked now, but she screamed pretty loud to me (when there was a line of people) "I told you it was working". I was surprised, but that was also fine.
I went back to my seat, but the wifi was still not connecting on my computer (nor of my friend's!). I decided to leave and on the way told the employee 2 (man) that unfortunately the wifi was not working on my computer. First thing he said was "I don't understand your english." It surprised me a bit, so I repeated: "I just wanted to let you know that the wifi wasn't working for me" (I was calm the entire time and tried to be friendly). He said he didn't understand my english again in a pretty aggressive manner now with some hand gestures as well. Then he very aggressively started saying that it was my fault and that I was lying. Then I also got defensive and told him "I'm not complaining, I'm just letting you know" and yelled at me "Kid." I repeated "Sorry? I'm not complaining, I'm just letting you know" He kept calling me Kid. Kid. Kid. as a way to shut my mouth while I said "Again, I'm not complaining, I'm just letting you know".
I just left after. Worst service ever. Incredibly disrespectful.
I was planning on buying drinks and food while working at the coffee shop. Never...
Read moreEverything works here: Fresh foods for a tasty breakfast or lunch; business noshes, team food take-out. Freshly baked and designed pastries, knock-out fine seed sticks. Juices that energize or calm, take your pick. Since they've opened, my family and I and my work team and I have enjoyed every sip and bite. We haven't tried the whole cakes. We're satisfied and full from the other delectable items on the menu. The coffee beans are roasted with UpForDaz's multi-generational experience and expertise. Any coffee beverage has this rich-roasted, smooth complement. And notice the bread...it's baked fresh in the back. You can't find avocado toast selections so thoughtfully put together. The toast is chewy and light. We were able to time an afternoon being in the store when they had a whole loaf of their bread left to sell. We felt like we had hit the lotto! This Fabulous Family cares to be there for us. They walk their write. In these days of loss of listening skills, loss of desire to serve, and barely any eye contact with the customer, let alone gratitude for repeat customers, Mousa, RoRo, and MariMar's family values are even more apparent. In fact, these 24/7 values sit like a huge neon banner over this City. We thank...
Read moreMy friend and I went here for an afternoon tea recently. My friend is admittedly a bit clumsy, and he accidentally spilled a bit of his tea on the couch in the cafe, partially because the lid hadn’t been secured correctly, and when we asked the staff for napkins, they appeared very concerned. The owner kept announcing to us that the couch which my friend spilled a bit of his tea on was “worth over $10,000”. My friend and I apologized for the mistake, but we instantly felt a bit uncomfortable about staying at the coffee shop, as it seemed like the owners had been very irritated by the entire situation. Realistically, it was only a few drops of spilled tea and to us, it felt like a very natural and excusable mistake. As we left, the woman he worked with got unusually upset with us over the matter. It was a very uncomfortable situation and I don’t recommend coming back, as the owners seem very stressed out. While spilling on a $10,000 couch would understandably cause frustration, it seems like an inevitability in a business that primarily serves hot beverages and has a high volume...
