Discriminatory, unfair, and disgusting would be 3 words you could use to describe the staff here. I was about to enter when a man on the street began to experience what looked like an overdose. His lips began to turn purple and he almost died. A courageous bystander applied cpr and after a few scary moments of facing death, he came back to.
As he woke up, the security guards from sparc could be seen verbally harassing this man, seconds after he almost died. I remember one of them told him, the second he woke up, “time to get a new hobby bro.” They made no effort to help, revive him, or even call for help. It was a disgusting show of cowardice on the part of the security guards and of sparc in general. 2 guards, one with many tattoos and the other with a beard.
These are not people who support the local community. These are people who are trying to tear down the community and oppress the locals.
There are many better options in the area which do support the community and are a positive influence on the local people, showing compassionate caregiving as they should, such as releaf, bloom, and Barbary coast, all within a few blocks.

Edit: The owner who has responded below is blatantly lying in his response, claiming it was a staff member of theirs who provided cpr. The sparc staff stood back verbally assaulting the man who was overdosing as his friend who was also there doing drugs with him on the street saved him. Once he woke up, the sparc employees continued their verbal assault of the man. I told them to please give the guy a break and the security guards began to threaten me.
I am extremely disappointed in this response from the owner. Trying to say that verbally harassing a man on the verge of death is somehow helpful to him or his addiction? Really? We do not want people like this in our community. These security guards should be fired.
I will be contacting local news and spreading this story now on social media. It deserves to be heard.
You cannot try to spin this situation into something positive with lies.

Edit: walked past sparc this week and the same security guards are working who assaulted the homeless man when he almost died. Your business is a disgrace to San Francisco and I will be beginning a petition to kick you guys out of the...

Read morePlace looked clean. Called before I went to get info. I wanted to get a tincture. Info was not very clear. Then girl who answered said that she would not sell me a tincture because "someone had told her not to sell it because it was 100 ml. That much was not considered recreational????? So she said that I could not buy that product, when I was first explained I could. I them went to see what they had. Place was clean. I had to show I.D 4 different times. Cannot take pics, answer phone, have phone in hand or take video. After leaving I was told I could not injest product until I was 500 feet away. It seems like a tense place. Even thought they smiled and greeted you like crazy, you could feel the stress. They all looked very paraniod. Why??? I do not know??? I was explained about products, but was expected to already know a basic amount, which I did not. I was sold the 100ml tincture, by the same girl on phone. She had the same voice. That did not make sense. I am home now, and I have taken some. Waiting to chill out. I don't mean to give a bad review, but they need to relax. Not everyone is a cop or not everyone wants to rob them. I will go back one more time when I am in S.F. Give...
