Eighth Street Laundry — Local services in San Francisco

This place has been bad for years. They they constantly have older women in here washing clothes and they block everything. To staff are always blocking things. They are next door to a homeless shelter. They have a history of random people coming in and just hanging out. They have plastic chairs to sit it. Machines are often broken. They often don't have employees on site so people are asking me for help when I don't even work there. No bathroom for customers. People try to talk to you. Some of the other patrons are soo cheap that they are constantly looking for dryer's that are already hot that were used by other people to put their clothes in in order to try and save $0.25 for 5 minutes. It cost $0.25 for 5 minutes. I've had to argue with random mentally ill people. They have homeless and drug addicts come in...

I don't call this Crack Street Laundry, or alternatively Dantes Omitted Level Of Hell, for nothing.

UPDATE [5/2016]: SO no longer patronizing this establishment after laundry came out reeking of gawdknowswhat. He's still finding socks or t-shirts with the odor after re-washing at least once.

Highlights: I will not go despite living 100 yards away - I gleefully wave as I pass it on the way to Brainwash. S.O. will go on occassion and reports back Sights reported include domestic abuse, huffing of unidentified substance, shooting up and other drug use, general craziness—inevitably S.O. no longer will leave laundry, as all my panties mysteriously disappeared from the wash one...

Definitely NOT go there! Dropped a shirt there for cleaning, and two days later when pick up, they did not wash it at all but pretend to have done that! Even worse, the shirt was even dirtier! When asked the old woman manager there, she just yelled and talk dirties, like "some people are just dirty", "go back to your country" (btw, she is a Chinese for sure), "we do not serve you", .... etc.. Just so off track and that old woman was just ugly and evil. And the general environment in that laundry is just dirty! will definitely not go, even it is just 2...
