George's Market — Local services in San Francisco

I stopped at George's Market when I'm in church and market area for about 15 years now. Because Safeway is right across the street I think George's makes a point of stocking items Safeway does not carry. I feel good giving my money to a small business & I find a trip to a local market much more relaxing & pleasant than the Safeway experience which has been quite an ordeal at times. Very friendly, neighborhood convenience store offering frozen goods, beverages, snacks, packaged foods and household items (plus cigarettes and booze/wine). The store worker (or owner) is hella friendly every time I go in. Very pleasant to strike up a conversation with when I’m in the store. Best of all, the store manager is the kitty cat! Unfortunately this place charge $0.50 unless you spend $15.00 minimum when you pay with credit or debit card, is that “allowed”?, as you can see on the receipt they charged me $10.25 when the price of the item was $9.75, and of course that’s not showed on the receipt.
