My 2nd viewing of "Sinners", 1st viewing was at the AMC Bay Street IMAX which I loved. So I had a clear side-by-side of the same movie in two IMAX theaters. This one was pretty awful.
-Bad Projection Quality- We got 4th row seats (best we could find, this movie is happily doing really well) and the image quality was... err, sorry, just garbage. Like I was viewing the film through tinted car windows. We were fortunate, right above us were two empty seats, so we snuck into those about 20 min into the movie when it was clear no one was claiming them. Big improvement, tho still worse than Bay Street IMAX projection quality. Why are you selling tickets for rows 1-4 if the image quality is unwatchable? I paid for premium tickets. Not cool.
-Bad Audio Quality- The sound was also way off. I'm not an audiophile so can't really say why or how. Bay Street IMAX was a joy to my ears, this one just felt off.

Read moreThis is a top notch theater in the Bay area. They run top major movies, great concession area with a huge assortment of food and beverage with free refills, and seating area. They are the cleanest theatre I've seen. The seats are like new, very comfortable with recline option. It's conveniently located in downtown and easily accessible by car or bus. There's a convenient parking garage across the street but without theater validation, so it's pricey. What's great about this location is the adjacent mall that is filled with major and independent retail stores, and a vast variety of various American and ethnic food choices. This place is definitely a great choice for a date, with friends or family.
Please Note: Though impressed with the theater, movies, service, restroom, and overall condition, there isn't adequate staff's appearance during shows to lessen disturbances by people...

For the past three years, this once glorious IMAX auditorium suffers massive projector delays, consisting of blurred/stretched out images, wrong color contrasts, sound systems lagging, and overall never on time to run a smooth system.
No matter the minimal visits I endure, including now for the Hunger Games screening, has always consisted of employees alerting the audience the projector is broken, suffering a delay, or handing out complimentary tickets.
The employees for this IMAX Auditorium can never properly function a simple task to run a show smoothly. Infuriating and detrimental, let this big boy go out for good with all its unhygienic broken seats and...
