My very first experience here was like the other negative reviews to be honest. They were just too busy with others clients during the weekend. I finally came on a weekday and there were at least two staff available to assist me. They highly suggest booking an appointment on the weekends if you need 1:1 with a staff for selecting jewelry, otherwise there is a wait since they take appointments first.
The staff was welcoming the second time I came in. Nicole, the manager, was standoffish at first but she realized that I was interesting in buying a few rings and needed help with sizing. She was able to help me curate my new ring collection and they actually had everything I chose in stock which is not common! She went above and beyond to make sure I loved the jewelry and that they all went well together.
I decided to get a few piercings as well and the staff was extremely helpful and patient when deciding which earrings I wanted. I didn’t have an appointment with Modey, the piercer, but she was able to squeeze me in before her next appointment. I decided to get 4 piercings! They all healed nicely and it’s been a month now. The checkups and downsizing is complementary.
Modey is an absolute sweetheart and highly qualified as a piercer. She is meticulous with her work and she takes the time to make you feel comfortable. The most empathetic piercer ever! She does not like giving pain and she will talk you through the entire process and answer all your questions. Although the earring selections for piercings were limited, I would come back again to get pierced by Modey just for her compassion and empathy! She is very quick and smooth compared to another professional piercer I’ve been to recently that was spoken in high regards by others.
I came back a couple times again on the weekdays without an appointment and continued to have a positive experience each time. There was at least one staff available on the weekdays to assist you. They package the jewelry beautifully and even put a few small gifts for me! I love the security guard as well who greets you and will help you with the door. Not only is their jewelry stylish and dainty but the staff has continued to be wonderful. I look forward to the next time I pick out...
Read moreBeautiful store, beautiful layout. As a long time "fan" of mejuri and their pieces, I was really excited to have an in-person shopping experience. Unfortunately, I didn't have a welcoming or pleasant experience. From the moment i walked in (when both employees working there just stared at me and looked me up and down), i felt extremely unwelcomed.(A couple walked in less than 2 minutes after me and were very welcomed??? hmmm...) I had been wearing mejuri earrings and wanted another identical set, so I asked the sales associates, and stood there until one on them reluctantly pointed me to the single hoops section, to an earring that wasn't even what I was wearing. I then enquired about other jewelry, which again, the workers there made it seem like I was bothering them, and would look at each other or look busy to signal to ''deal with me''. I was interested in getting a piercing, so again I mustered up the courage to ask one of the employees (although at this point my confidence and patience was already long gone) about their piercing service. MID CONVERSATION, like literally in the middle of me talking, she picks up the ringing phone (no 'excuse me' or 'one moment') continues to have a conversation for like 3 minutes with someone, and then hangs up. she then stares at me. I had to remind her of what we were talking about (the piercings), and after about 15 mins of patronizing me, she finally tells me that they don't do piercing services on Saturdays (which is fine, but I'm not understanding why this wasn't communicated to me before the lengthy questioning, and before I had to wait for her to get off the phone). The employees here made it feel like I didnt deserve to be here or wear mejuri pieces (especially since I saw how attentive they could be with other customers) and I honestly have never felt more unwelcome in a place before. Unfortunately I will not be returning. It's a shame really, as this doesn't seem to be an isolated experience judging by the...
Read moreFor anyone that might want to check this place out, I don’t recommend it whatsoever. To put this rating simply, I felt humiliated, unwelcome, and judged for coming in to the store.
I came here today at around 4:30pm to pick up an order I purchased online as a gift for a friend. I was actually incredibly excited to finally come to the store since I’ve been wanting to check out and even purchase some rings and necklaces for myself.
When I got in, employee A was helping two guests and employee B was on their laptop. I didn’t want to bother employee B since they seemed really busy and didn’t glance up from the laptop when I made myself visible so I waited on the side for employee A to open up.
When another customer came in, employee A saw them and then proceeded to look at me from head to toe and the same to the other customer. After that, instead of just openly greeting us, she looked only at the other customer and welcomed them in. (I just want to make clear that I was not wearing anything inappropriate or messy. I wore a cream colored fleece jacket with jeans and uggs.)
I felt humiliated and was taken aback from this situation since I’ve never experienced being judged in such a way. It made me feel like they took one glance and believed I wasn’t even someone that could be even considered a customer.
I decided to go to employee B and inquired if I could ask her a question. She glanced at me in a similar way employee A did momentarily and looked right back at their laptop and just said “what” in the most unwelcoming way. I then just communicated that I’m here for a pickup and left with my gift.
If this wasn’t for my friend, I would have returned it immediately for how degrading the employees were.
Again, I do not recommend coming to this store. I don’t think I would recommend even getting their product online if this is what they think is an appropriate way of...
