I want to share my awful experience at this restaurant. I made a reservation to have a farewell dinner for my partner who was flying back to Europe the next day, and this guy Chris put a dark and unhappy note to our night. On Wednesday, March 31 I call the restaurant to make a reservation (as instructed online to accommodate my party of seven). I called and the gentleman I spoke with confirmed my reservation for 7pm that night, for 7 people, took my name and phone number and said "see you tonight". When we got there I went straight to the host, I believe his name is Chris, and told him I had a reservation and I gave him my name, and his response was "oh yeah, I spoke to you on the phone", but when he looked for the reservation on his notes he couldn't find it and said "oh no, you didn't talk to me, you don't have a reservation"... I told him that just a second ago he said he remember my call and taking my reservation and his attitude changed and was really rude and ignored me, then I said whatever the issue was, just to figure it out and get me a table. Long story short, this guys was rude and started to make comments and he even throw his notebook and left me standing there, then his answer was "we are really busy, I don't have time to put a table together for you, I'll have to move tables and get chairs to accommodate you". So I said then do it, is not my mistake to fix. Then he got us a table and he only put 6 chairs and I told him we were 7, again he ignored me and left us waiting there and one of my guests was standing until a waiter showed up and we asked for a chair, then this guys Chris avoided eye contact the whole time we were there. I asked to speak to the manager 3 times, and no one came to me, turns out, the waiter told me that the manager name is Chris, I guess the same guy. Anyway, if he was a server, a host, the manager, the owner, DON'T TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS. This was my 4th time at Doppio Zero, my friends and I live in the neighborhood and we like to support local businesses, but this is the last time we bring our money to this restaurant. This guy should be ashamed for the way he treated his customers - which pays his salary - Appreciate your customers, specially now that many businesses are suffering due to COVID, appreciate that you have a clientele who brings money in. A group of 4 or 7 can easily spend hundreds of dollars at your business (my friends and I always order bottles of champagne, so we spend money), but not at Doppio Zero anymore. The owners should thank this rude guy Chris (if that is actually his name) for losing loyal...

Title: Disappointing Service Experience with Pizza Quality

I visited your restaurant last night with friends, and I must say that I was extremely dissatisfied with our service experience, prompting me to share my feedback.

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a short, slender male waiter. However, throughout our meal, his service left much to be desired. Initially, he simply took our orders without offering any additional suggestions or assistance. He also did not proactively provide us with a menu of the restaurant's specialties or recommendations. We waited a full 10 minutes without anyone coming to take our orders or inquire if we needed any assistance. This level of service is undoubtedly unprofessional.

Later on, when we attempted to order additional items, his attitude became quite unpleasant. Instead of coming to collect our order, he directly brought the card machine for payment. Even worse, when I inadvertently mistook the total bill, which included a tip, as a tip payment, he reacted with impatience, even going so far as to display visible annoyance and unfriendly remarks. Such treatment of guests is undoubtedly unprofessional and discourteous.

Furthermore, I have to mention the quality of the pizza we ordered was subpar. The pizzas were overly soggy, with a layer of water pooling on top, causing the crust to become completely waterlogged. This significantly impacted our dining experience, as the pizzas were practically inedible.

Our intention was to leave a 15% tip, not to mistakenly pay the entire bill as a tip. Eventually, the waiter rectified the erroneous tip and processed our payment again, but he did so in a notably rude manner, complete with a warning that implied we should not expect any corrections in the future. This attitude left us thoroughly dissatisfied.

In conclusion, I believe your restaurant needs to improve the service awareness and professionalism of its staff. Customers should feel welcomed and provided with a courteous and professional service experience while dining at your establishment, rather than being subjected to rudeness. Additionally, the quality of the food, particularly the pizza, should be closely monitored to ensure it meets the expected standards.

I hope that your restaurant will take this feedback seriously and implement measures to enhance the quality of service and food, ensuring that future customers can enjoy a more pleasant...

Bad dining experience due to dishonesty and poor hygenie! A very harsh critic to an otherwise good food and courteous servers.

I dislike a dishonest business period. When the pasta dish first ingredients were jumbo scallops and the dish turned up with only clams (!) it spells dishonest to me rather than a simple mistake. I had to pointed it out in the menu, the waiter made me dig for the scallops that he said should be in the middle of the mount of pasta (which there is none) and ended up having to wait for my dish, which essentially ruined our dining experience as we ended up eating out of sync on our couple night out.

Poor hygiene comes from the coctail drink that came in fingerprinted dirty glass and glassy oily drink... yuck! It was so disgusting and again I had to wait for the waiter to come back and showed him the problem. He brought back another glass that is acceptable to drink as I didn’t want to ruin my evening entirely.

My husband was persuaded to have a ragu meat (which is basically old meat cooked for hours) that is not on the menu instead of the ribeye he wanted for the same price. Again, he ate it with a smile and we really didn’t want to ruin our evening BUT this establishment embraces the same tactic as supermarkets who sell ‘almost out of date’ seafood as ‘special of the day’ as the waiter who appears very gentleman-like offers my husband ‘old meat’ as special of the day in substitute for grilled ribeye that has to be made from fresh.

In addition, the outside dining is quite crude... wobbly table that I had to fix with next table’s napkin and the chairs are small, cold, metal stools with no back rest.

At the end, the waiter offered us tiramisu for free. We still gave a good 18% tip for the waiter who was nice to us and tried to correct the ‘problems’.

Bottom line, my dining experience was ruined by problems that arised from what I consider systematic ‘shady’ operation than honest mistakes. I will be willing to update my review if this establishment embrace a good motto and practice as this restaurant can make good food up to par to what one would expect in...
