Incredibly disappointed in my experience. I walked in and requested a manicure and pedicure on 6/30. I chose an Essie Gel color for my nails, and an OPI color for my toes. As the manicurist began, it was clear the polish was clumpy, top thick and wouldn't spread. I requested a new color and the manicurist continued despite my protest. The resulting manicure looked awful -- the nails are uneven, the polish was all over my skin, because of the thickness of the polish (as I pointed out immediately) there are bubbles and smudges. I am incredibly disappointed for the price. I had to request that a separate manicurist clean the excess polish off me after finishing (I also had to request that they use the coordinating Essie Top Coat that seals in the Essie Gel color). The manicurist was visibly upset by this. Mid-way through, there was a change in my manicurist, as she left to work on another client). This salon came highly recommended, and I was shocked. I’ve been to most of the well-received nail salons in the Inner Richmond area and have become a regular at Milan SF Nails. What I appreciate about this place in particular is that their service isn’t disingenuous. I don’t get the impression that are just trying to take my money by rushing my appointment or squeezing me in between other customer. The women here take their time with each client to ensure the best job possible. I believe this is a three woman team, all of whom I recognize at this point, and each of them tend to lean towards a speciality but always step in to help each other when needed. I have been satisfied with my nails each time and highly reccomend this place to anyone else wants the same in a welcoming and calm...

The team here does an amazing job with the services they provide. Usually get the Mani/Pedi combo along with eye brow waxing.

The employees here take the time and put in their full effort— every. single. time.

I prefer less conversation/interaction while getting my nails done, and Milan SF fits my preference! If you are expecting to become buddies or have a full-on conversation during your experience, this place is probably not for you.
