I'd like to share one of the most unfortunate examples of customer service I have ever experienced. I will start by saying I am a Kohls member for 10+ years . I spend a yearly average of 5000+ dollars. I regularly purchase my childrens school clothes from Kolhs aswell as my holiday shopping . Until yesterday happened......... ..I had spent the morning with my 16 year old and my 4 month old at the dentist , which had been surprisingly pleasant the baby smiled and cooed at the staff and patients didn't cry a bit . I remembered I had a a couple Amazon returns in my trunk for a week or so . I always take the opportunity to visit Kohls when I have a Amazon return . As we pull up my little one is sleeping peacefully , my 16 year old is , well tik toking of course . He dosent care to come in and offers to wait with baby whaaaaaa???? Go in a store by myself with no kids fussing or sneaking items in the cart or rushing me ....... don't mind if I do ! I grab my returns and my purse real quick like , could this day get any better đ Well , as soon as I entered the great day came to a screeching hault. Upon entering I turn to fetch a cart , for my Amazon returns as I shop . I observe the first 4 carts had trash. Next the men's section to the right. I'll surprise my son with some Champion basketball shorts and shirt for being so awesome and helpful . I observe a woman who I imagine is standing at the entry way to greet customer but I certainly wasn't. She was quite busy gossiping and complaining with the other 3 ladies across from her at the registers. . As I'm attempting to find size medium, which way harder then it should of been , the stock is not organized and the size indicated on the hanger is not the size of the garment ot h ,annoying but not impossible, I look up and see the employing observing my struggle, but the expression on her face puzzles me it wasn't a kind glance ? My first thought was , can I help you ? Which ironically she should if asked me , but nope ! She yells to the other employee returning from break " that was longer then 15 minutes ,lol says employee "no it wasn't", other employee" I'm gonna take that long too " lol . Is it possible this person is in a supervisory position NOWAY ? Then the employee go on to say to a cashier ," oh I didn't know you work Tuesdays , better not report that to medi-cal " hahaha", the cashier quickly response "my wages are still low enough to qualify pshhhh'...an Unanimous response all the employees agree to how little they are paid . Well ladies I hate to break it to you but generally you wage compensation is equivalent to your work contribution, so considering, ya'll just stand around lolly gagging complaining your low pay seems justified. Ok so I've got my son's outfit , I see Sephora , I know better then to enter , it's like a time warp , I'd could get lost in there I love all the glam ! I do spot some Gwen eyebrow pencils the display draws me in. I TEST THE TESTERS . Color 5 nice I select 2 from the row of boxes behind tester . Moving on I see some pretty floral dresses hummm ... maybe I can get my Easter dress real quick . As I thumb through the hangers I spot a employee with a clip board in my peripheral , Is it possible I'm finally gonna get that welcoming greeting or the courtesy of a" Can I help you find anything " . ON THE CONTRARY ,this employee had sought me out to inquire on the whereabouts of the TESTER eyebrow pencils ?????????? EXCUSE ME ? I say . I reach in the cart pouch and show her the 2 boxes , to which she responds " oh she thought you had TOOK the TESTERS" I SHOW HER A COUPLE LINES ON MY HAND , WERE I HAD TESTED THE TESTERS . OH OK she says unapologetically . As she walked away , " I call out " actually take them , I no longer wish to purchase them. I am DONE !Unfreaking believable! Straight to Amazon returns done. On my way out I noticed the samples were all still In place I left my cart there and...
Read moreSo the reason I am rating them 1 star is because there customer service is so awful that the low prices don't make up for it. And honestly their prices aren't much lower, if at all compared to other stores like BB&B or even Macys, what Kohls does is mark everything on sale as though you are getting a deal when in reality their "sale prices" are what most stores price the items at. So this is my experience which made me promise my self never to spend an other dime at Kohls. My fiance and I had just moved back to SJ from living in France and so our friends and family surprised us with an engagement party. My grandma had gone to my sister to ask what she should buy us and my sister told her I wanted the accessories to the mixer I had just bought my self. So my grandma went to Kohls and purchased a pasta roller for nearly $200 for the KitchenAid mixer. My mixer however is not KitchenAid... No big deal i thought I'll just bring it back to the store and exchange it for something similar from CuisineArt. Well it is a big deal to Kohls. When I explained what had happened the last just stared at me and said no reciept. No, I even explained how half of my family had spent out while Sunday searching for this reciept. She looked annoyed and said well all I can do is store credit. Well that works perfect, since I never wanted cash I wanted an EXCHANGE. So she then demands my ID when I hand her over my French drivers license since we haven't officially moved back home to California, she throws it at her co-worker and says "this will not work, huh." Her co-worker shrugs tells her to page the manager who in return says no, we can not help. I ask her what I should do in that situation and she shrugs again and calls the next person. This is beyond unbelievable not only does my grandma not have $200 to throw out the window, I refuse to let her gift sit in a cabinet collecting dust. The product is clearly purchased at Kohls and I am asking for an even exchange NOT CASH. My ID is a government issued ID and i have never had a problem using it at any other business. The employees there had no respect for their customers and once you hand them your money its basically goodbye and good luck. Never will i buy anything...
Read moreI wanted to send a letter to express my thanks to (2) of your employees working at the Kohl's Blossom Hill, CA store.
On Saturday March 10, 2018 I visited the store to shop for some shirts.
During this time I tried several shirts on in the dressing room and when finished selected the ones I wanted, checked them out at the cashier and headed out to my car. I then realized I didn't have my car keys. I frantically returned back to the store, knowing that I must have set them down somewhere within the men's shirt area. I checked with the Kohl's lost and found service department, and notified the available cashiers. None of which stated they received a report of any missing keys. I was frantic at this point since I was across town. My girlfriend and I spent almost 3 hours looking, and finally came to the conclusion that we were not going to find them. I then had no choice but to get a ride back across town where I picked up a spare set and returned back to the store. I found at this time it was 10pm and the store was open another hour until 11pm. We decided to take one last look! We headed in and spoke to (2) Store Clerks, Ramsina and Veronica. We explained we had lost the keys and they could see my concern. At this point, they went above and beyond to help us. After about 30 minutes one of them yelled out stating that they had found my keys laying on top of a mens pants shelf. I was so relieved !!!! I wanted to take the time to say how thankful I am that you have such great employees like Ramsina and Veronica. Without them I would have been in a world of pain. I really appreciate their outstanding customer service! Employees like them really make your store shine.. I think that they deserve recognition..
Thank you Ramsina and...
